Previously, tcpci_irq() always passed TCPC_TX_SOP as the receive type
to tcpm_pd_receive(), ignoring the actual frame type reported by the
TCPC_RX_BUF_FRAME_TYPE register.
Cache the TCPC_RX_DETECT register value in rx_type_mask variable. When
a PD messageis received, read TCPC_RX_BUF_FRAME_TYPE register and handle
the message only if its frame type is enabled in mask.
The TCPC_RX_BUF_FRAME_TYPE register records the received message type,
which has a 1:1 mapping to enum tcpm_transmit_type.

Certain third-party USB game controllers exposing (or spoofing) an Xbox
360-compatible interface (VID:PID 045e:028e) fail to enumerate under Linux.
The device disconnects from the bus without responding to the initial
GET_DESCRIPTOR(CONFIGURATION) request, and the kernel logs 'unable to read
config index 0 descriptor/start: -71'.
The device then falls back to a secondary Android HID mode (with a
different VID:PID), losing XInput functionality including rumble support.
The failure reproduces across multiple machines, host controller types, and
kernel versions including current mainline and LTS. The device enumerates
correctly and remains in XInput mode under Windows. Notably, the device
enumerates correctly in Android mode when the same 9-byte request
is issued for that mode's configuration descriptor, confirming the firmware
bug is specific to the XInput mode.
usbmon traces from Linux and Wireshark/USBPcap traces from Windows are
identical up to the point of failure, with no visible protocol-level
difference explaining the divergence. The root cause was identified when
Michal Pecio discovered via a QEMU bus-level capture that Windows does not
use wLength=9 for the initial config descriptor request; it uses
wLength=255. Alan Stern subsequently confirmed this with a bus
analyzer on a different USB 2.0 device, and Michal verified the behavior
goes back to Windows 95 OSR2.1.
So, add a new quirk flag USB_QUIRK_WINDOWS_CONFIG_REQ_SIZE which causes
usb_get_configuration() to issue a 255 byte sized configuration request
instead of USB_DT_CONFIG_SIZE (9) for the initial
GET_DESCRIPTOR(CONFIGURATION) request, mimicking long-standing Windows
behavior.
This patch intentionally does not add any new VID:PID entries using this
quirk. Some affected Xbox 360-compatible controllers spoof Microsoft's
VID:PID, while genuine Microsoft controllers already enumerate correctly
and do not require this quirk. Other affected clone devices use their own
VID:PID pairs and can be added individually as they are identified.

Add support for packet spanning as defined in DSP0283 v1.1.
With the existing v1.0 implementation of multi-packet transfers, all we
need here is to adjust the buffer sizes to suit v1.1.

Using the existing prepare/complete API, we can persist the rx skb
across receives to implement v1.1 packet spanning.
Alter the packet-extraction loop to allow truncated packets, returning
early with the skb persisted for the next IN urb completion. When we see
we have a complete packet, netif_rx() that. If the packet boundary
aligns with the urb completion, we can netif_rx() the whole thing.
Those intermediate packets are cloned from the original
(large-transfer-data) skb. Unlike existing behaviour, if the clone
fails, we drop just that clone, instead of the existing transfer skb.
This allows us to process the rest of the skb data, and any continuation
of the span into the next transfer.
One subtle change: the mctp_usblib_rx() helper now handles skbs with the
full transport header, so we shift the skb_pull() for the header data to
the helper, before doing the rx_bytes stats update.
We still need to handle non-spanning mode, so error out on
truncated-packet cases there.

In the v1.1 update to DSP0283, we have a larger header field, of 13 bits
rather than 8.
In order to accommodate this, in preparation for proper v1.1 support,
expand our struct mctp_usb_hdr's len field to a u16, and endian-convert
when necessary. Because we don't yet support spanning mode, we will
never receive or transmit with the top 5 bits set, so we always mask
out anyway.
This allows for a future change where we allow spanning mode with
>512-byte transfers.

The MCTP over USB spec allows us to pack multiple packets in one
transfer. Given the packet max length is 255, and the transfer max
length is 512, we can typically include two full-size packets per
urb submission.
To do this, we allow a struct mctp_usb_tx to persist a tx_ctx,
representing the ongoing context for a transmit. If possible, a TX skb
will be queued to the context and the send deferred until the context is
full, or the device queue reports no more packets.
This typically requires a linear buffer for the 512-byte TX, which we
allocate along with the TX context.

With the RX processing in mctp-usblib, add TX processing alongside.
To accommodate packed transfers in DSP0283, where a transfer may contain
multiple MCTP packets, we move to a split process for the transmit API:
* push: create a new transmit context, and add a skb to it.
* send: callback to the driver implementation to send the (possibly
multi-packet) USB transfer
* complete: update skb accounting and release the tx context
The actual multi-packet transfer implementation will be added in the
next change; no tx context persists beyond the single send at present.
However, we use an anchor in the host driver implementation to track the
submitted TX urb when necessary.
While we're here, fix an inconsistency between tx and rx stats: both
should not include the transport header.

The processing of USB receive transfers is common to both sides of a
MCTP over USB transport. In order to support a future gadget driver,
move the current host-side driver into a new common file, mctp-usblib.
This currently handles the submit-complete-packetise process of the
receive path of the USB transport. We'll add transmit handling in an
upcoming change.

pdo_epr_avs_apdo_max_voltage_mv() extracts the EPR AVS minimum-voltage
field instead of the maximum-voltage field. As a result, an EPR AVS APDO
with different minimum and maximum voltages is decoded as having
identical limits. The currently visible effect is that
tcpm_log_source_caps() reports a min-min voltage range.

Introduce typec_cable_altmode_unsupported function to evaluate whether an
alternate mode is restricted based on the connected cable's properties.
Implement validation logic that parses the cable's identity to catch
incompatible setups early. Alternate modes are restricted over:
- cables lacking an identity header
- passive cables with USB 2.0 speed
- active cables unless they have corresponding plugs
The function returns false if the cable is not registered or the identifier
is not set.

(headers)
<linux/mod_devicetable.h> is included in a many files:
$ git grep '<linux/mod_devicetable.h>' ef0c9f75a195 | wc -l
1598
; some of them are widely used headers. To stop mixing up different and
unrelated driver( type)s let the subsystem headers only use the subset
of the recently split <linux/mod_devicetable.h> that are relevant for
them.
The fallout (I hope) is addressed in the previous commits that handle
sources relying on e.g. <linux/i2c.h> pulling in the full legacy header
and thus providing pci_device_id.

The uvcdynctrl tool from libwebcam:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/libwebcam/
maps proprietary controls into v4l2 controls using the UVCIOC_CTRL_MAP
ioctl.
The tool has not been updated for 10+ years now, and there is no reason
for the UVC driver to not do the mapping by itself.
This patch adds the mappings from the uvcdynctrl into the driver. Hopefully
this effort can help in deprecating the UVCIOC_CTRL_MAP ioctl.
Some background about UVCIOC_CTRL_MAP (thanks Laurent for the context):
```
this was envisioned as the base of a vibrant ecosystem where a large
number of vendors would submit XML files that describe their XU control
mappings, at a pace faster than could be supported by adding XU mappings
to the driver. This vision failed to materialize and the tool has not
been updated for 10+ years now. There is no reason to believe the
situation will change.
```
During the porting, the following mappings where NOT imported because
they were not using standard v4l2 IDs. It is recommended that userspace
moves to UVCIOC_CTRL_QUERY for non standard controls.

Add support for the P010 (10-bit Y/UV 4:2:0) pixel format to the
uvcvideo driver. This format is exposed by USB capture devices such as
the Magewell USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro when capturing HDR10 content.
P010 stores 10-bit Y and interleaved UV samples in 16-bit little-endian
words, with data in the upper 10 bits and zeros in the lower 6 bits.
This requires 2 bytes per sample, so bytesperline is wWidth * 2.
V4L2_PIX_FMT_P010 was added to the V4L2 core in commit 5374d8fb75f3
("media: Add P010 video format").

Add support to enable TCPM to negotiate with
USB PD Standard Power Range Adjustable Voltage Supply (SPR AVS) when
acting as a power sink.
* Added support to the tcpm power supply properties, allowing userspace
to enable and control the dynamic limits (voltage and current)
specific to the SPR AVS contract.
* Implemented tcpm_pd_select_spr_avs_apdo() to select the appropriate
APDO and validate the requested voltage/current against both the
Source and Sink capabilities.
* Implemented tcpm_pd_build_spr_avs_request() to construct the
Request Data Object (RDO) for SPR AVS.
* Added SNK_NEGOTIATE_SPR_AVS_CAPABILITIES state to the state machine to
handle negotiation for SPR AVS.
* Updated the SNK_TRANSITION_SINK state to implement the SPR
AVS-specific VBUS transition rules, including reducing current draw to
PD_I_SNK_STBY_MA for large voltage changes, as required by USB PD spec.

Some USB devices incorrectly report bNumConfigurations as 0 in their

enumeration.
logs:
usb 1-2: device descriptor read/64, error -71

However, these devices actually work correctly when
treated as having a single configuration.
Add a new quirk USB_QUIRK_FORCE_ONE_CONFIG to handle such devices.
When this quirk is set, assume the device has 1 configuration instead
of failing with -EINVAL.
This quirk is applied to the device with VID:PID 5131:2007 which

Add support for responding to Sink Cap Extended msg request. To achieve
this, include parsing support for DT properties related to Sink Cap
Extended. The request for Sink Cap Ext is a control message while the
response is an extended message (chunked). As the Sink Caps Extended
Data Block size (24 Byte) is less than MaxExtendedMsgChunkLen (26 Byte),
a single chunk is sufficient to complete this AMS.
Supporting sink cap extended messages while responding to a
Get_Sink_Caps_Extended request when port is in Sink role is required in
order to be compliant with at least USB PD Rev3.1 Ver1.8.

Commit c7159e960f14 ("usbnet: limit max_mtu based on device's hard_mtu")
capped net->max_mtu to the device's hard_mtu in usbnet_probe(). While
this correctly prevents oversized packets on standard USB network
devices, it breaks the qmi_wwan driver.
qmi_wwan relies on userspace (e.g. ModemManager) setting a large MTU on
the wwan0 interface to configure rx_urb_size via usbnet_change_mtu().
QMI modems negotiate USB transfer sizes of 16,383 or 32,767 bytes, and
the USB receive buffers must be sized accordingly. With max_mtu capped
to hard_mtu (~1500 bytes), userspace can no longer raise the MTU, the
receive buffers remain small, and download speeds drop from >300 Mbps
to ~0.8 Mbps.
Introduce a FLAG_NOMAXMTU driver flag that allows individual usbnet
drivers to opt out of the max_mtu cap. Set this flag in qmi_wwan's
driver_info structures to restore the previous behavior for QMI devices,
while keeping the safety fix in place for all other usbnet drivers.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net-next
Pull networking updates from Paolo Abeni:
"Core & protocols:
- A significant effort all around the stack to guide the compiler to
make the right choice when inlining code, to avoid unneeded calls
for small helper and stack canary overhead in the fast-path.
This generates better and faster code with very small or no text
size increases, as in many cases the call generated more code than
the actual inlined helper.
- Extend AccECN implementation so that is now functionally complete,
also allow the user-space enabling it on a per network namespace
basis.
- Add support for memory providers with large (above 4K) rx buffer.
Paired with hw-gro, larger rx buffer sizes reduce the number of
buffers traversing the stack, dincreasing single stream CPU usage
by up to ~30%.
- Do not add HBH header to Big TCP GSO packets. This simplifies the
RX path, the TX path and the NIC drivers, and is possible because
user-space taps can now interpret correctly such packets without
the HBH hint.
- Allow IPv6 routes to be configured with a gateway address that is
resolved out of a different interface than the one specified,
aligning IPv6 to IPv4 behavior.
- Multi-queue aware sch_cake. This makes it possible to scale the
rate shaper of sch_cake across multiple CPUs, while still enforcing
a single global rate on the interface.
- Add support for the nbcon (new buffer console) infrastructure to
netconsole, enabling lock-free, priority-based console operations
that are safer in crash scenarios.
- Improve the TCP ipv6 output path to cache the flow information,
saving cpu cycles, reducing cache line misses and stack use.
- Improve netfilter packet tracker to resolve clashes for most
protocols, avoiding unneeded drops on rare occasions.
- Add IP6IP6 tunneling acceleration to the flowtable infrastructure.
- Reduce tcp socket size by one cache line.
- Notify neighbour changes atomically, avoiding inconsistencies
between the notification sequence and the actual states sequence.
- Add vsock namespace support, allowing complete isolation of vsocks
across different network namespaces.
- Improve xsk generic performances with cache-alignment-oriented
optimizations.
- Support netconsole automatic target recovery, allowing netconsole
to reestablish targets when underlying low-level interface comes
back online.
Driver API:
- Support for switching the working mode (automatic vs manual) of a
DPLL device via netlink.
- Introduce PHY ports representation to expose multiple front-facing
media ports over a single MAC.
- Introduce "rx-polarity" and "tx-polarity" device tree properties,
to generalize polarity inversion requirements for differential
signaling.
- Add helper to create, prepare and enable managed clocks.
Device drivers:
- Add Huawei hinic3 PF etherner driver.
- Add DWMAC glue driver for Motorcomm YT6801 PCIe ethernet

The PORTSC1 register has a different offset in Tegra20 compared to
Tegra30+, yet they share a crucial set of registers required for HSIC

Change TEGRA_USB_HOSTPC1_DEVLC_PTS_HSIC to its literal value instead of
using the BIT macro, as it is an enumeration. Correct the spelling in the
comment and rename uhsic_registers_shift to uhsic_registers_offset.
These changes are cosmetic and do not affect code behavior.

The port driver sets this bit for an alternate mode description to indicate
support for the mode selection feature. Once set, individual Alt Mode
drivers will no longer attempt to activate their respective modes within
their probe functions. This prevents race conditions and non-prioritized
activation.
The bit is not set by default. If left unset, the system retains the
current behavior where Alt Mode drivers manage their own activation logic.

The mode selection process is controlled by the following API functions,
which allow to initiate and complete mode entry based on the priority of
each mode:
`typec_mode_selection_start` function compiles a priority list of supported
Alternate Modes.
`typec_altmode_state_update` function is invoked by the port driver to
communicate the current mode of the Type-C connector.
`typec_mode_selection_delete` function stops the currently running mode
selection process and releases all associated system resources.
`mode_selection_work_fn` task attempts to activate modes. The process stops
on success; otherwise, it proceeds to the next mode after a timeout or
error.

This patch introduces a priority sysfs attribute to the USB Type-C
alternate mode port interface. This new attribute allows user-space to
configure the numeric priority of alternate modes managing their preferred
order of operation. If a new priority value conflicts with an existing
mode's priority, the priorities of the conflicting mode and all subsequent
modes are automatically incremented to ensure uniqueness.

It turns out that warning about which USB host controller is loaded
before another one doesn't really matter. All that really is needed is
the PCI softdep module loading logic, which has been present in the
kernel ever since commit 05c92da0c524 ("usb: ohci/uhci - add soft
dependencies on ehci_pci")
So remove the warning messages, they are not useful, not needed, and
only confuse people. As can be seen in the discussion at
