The commit cited by the Fixes tag added separate limited and full-range
BT.2020 YCbCr entries to the DCE output CSC tables, but populated both
entries with the same matrix copied from the common DC table. That
matrix combined full-range scaling with limited-range luma offset and was
incorrect for both limited and full-range output.
Replace the coefficients in both entries in the DCE paths with those from
the new COLOR_SPACE_YCBCR2020_LIMITED_TYPE
and COLOR_SPACE_YCBCR2020_FULL_TYPE entries in the preceding commit
("drm/amd/display: fix BT.2020 YCbCr limited output CSC matrix").

The same as the rest of the code, get_ss_info_from_atombios() uses
calc_pll_cs->ctx->logger for logging. But calc_pll_cs->ctx is
initialized only later in calc_pll_max_vco_construct(). Therefore, any
output using DC_LOG_SYNC() leads to a NULL pointer deference in
get_ss_info_from_atombios().
According to Sashiko, the very same problem exists in
dce112_get_pix_clk_dividers() and dcn3_get_pix_clk_dividers() too.
To avoid accessing the NULL context, use clk_src->base.ctx->logger
everywhere. That context in base is initialized earlier in
dce110_clk_src_construct() and dce112_clk_src_construct(). Before
get_ss_info_from_atombios() or Sashiko's get_pix_clk_dividers functions
above are actually called. This is done by redefining DC_LOGGER to
CTX->logger.
Before:
dce110_clk_src_construct() did:
-> sets clk_src->base.ctx = ctx;
-> ss_info_from_atombios_create()
-> get_ss_info_from_atombios() <- uses calc_pll_cs->ctx # BOOM
-> calc_pll_max_vco_construct() <- sets calc_pll_cs->ctx
After:
dce110_clk_src_construct() does:
-> sets clk_src->base.ctx = ctx;
-> ss_info_from_atombios_create()
-> get_ss_info_from_atombios() <- uses clk_src->base.ctx

[Why]
The MPCCs different gamut remap matrices allow for S2D13 and S3D12 floating
point formats, but only S2D13 is used. There may be cases where more
integer bits are required.
[How]
Switch to S3D12 if any entries in the remap matrix cannot fit in S2D13.
Otherwise, prefer the extra precision of S2D13. Communicate the max value
that hw can support to dm via dc color caps.

When compiling the AMDGPU display driver for 32-bit architectures,
the linker reports undefined reference to `__udivdi3` in functions
get_dp_dto_frequency_100hz() and dcn401_get_dp_dto_frequency_100hz().
This is because the code uses 64-bit division (/) on 32-bit systems,
which GCC cannot handle directly and instead tries to call the missing
__udivdi3 helper function.
Replace the raw division with div_u64(), the kernel's standard 64-bit
division helper, to avoid the link error.

Enable OLED panels to save more power on the Linux platform by
enabling CACP support on Linux.
[How]
Update abm_feature_support() to return ABM_CACP_SUPPORT for OLED
panels. Enable ABM property for all eDP panels including OLED to
support CACP via set_abm_level.

force_i2c_over_aux field
[Why]
The compound condition checking dp_connector_no_native_i2c
and no_ddc_pin was duplicated across many files, obscuring
intent at every call site.
[How]
Add bool force_i2c_over_aux to struct dc_link, initialized
once during link creation. Add link_get_ddc_aux_inst()
helper to select the correct aux instance. Wire into
link_service via construct_link_service_ddc(). Replace all
duplicated condition checks and aux instance selection
blocks with the new field and helper. No functional change.

When BT.2020 colorimetry is selected, the driver sends information using
VSC SDP but does not set "ignore MSA colorimetry" bit on older GPUs with
DCE-based IPs. This causes certain sinks to prefer colorimetry
information in DP MSA, resulting in terrible color rendering ("dull"
colors) when HDR is enabled.
This commit wires up the MISC1 bit 6 for GPUs with DCE 11.x based IPs to
correctly configure sinks to ignore colorimetry information in MSA,
resolving the color rendering issue.

[Why]
ASICs which do not have native DDC capability must use a different
codepath to access the AUX channel.
[How]
- BIOS cap NO_DDC_PIN is set to 1 for links which do not have the DDC pin.
- dp_connector_no_native_i2c in dc_config must also be set to true to
use this codepath.

[Why & How]
The enc1_stream_encoder_dp_get_pixel_format() function reads fields of the
DP_PIXEL_FORMAT register that are deprecated on DCN4x. This breaks seamless
boot because driver cannot properly determine the pixel format programmed by VBIOS.
The previous changed submitted for this issue incorrectly calculated the DP DTO
frequency because register access to DCN4x DP DTO registers was not working.
Create a new function that reads the correct fields.
Update clk_src structs to support register access for new DCN4x registers & fields.

DCE-based hardware does not have the CSC matrices for BT.2020, which
causes the driver to fallback to the GPU built-in matrices. This does
not appear to cause any issues for RGB sinks, but causes major color
artifacts for YCbCr ones (e.g. black becomes green).
This commit adds the missing CSC matrices (taken from DC common) to DCE
CSC tables, resolving the issue.

[Why & How]
DCN4x ASICs have different DCCG logic for programming DP DTO. The current
get_pixel_clk_frequency_100hz() function does not account for this.
Rename the function to "get_dp_dto_frequency" to more accurately
reflect its intended behaviour. Create a new function that correctly
calculates the target pixel rate for DCN4.x DCCG design and use it.

moved into dce_aux.c rather than link_ddc.c.
The "dce_aux_transfer_with_retries" function now uses

[Why]
Address signed/unsigned comparison warnings across dc paths to keep
builds warning-clean and improve type safety at comparison boundaries.
Most warnings came from signed loop/index temporaries compared against
unsigned counters and table sizes, plus a smaller number of mixed
signed/unsigned clock, bandwidth, and geometry comparisons.
[How]
Aligned iterator and temporary variable types with the semantic type
of the compared bounds. Used unsigned indices for loops bounded by unsigned
counters and table sizes, while retaining signed types where values are
semantically signed or participate in arithmetic that may legitimately go
negative. Where mixed signed/unsigned comparisons are intentional, applied
explicit boundary casts or guarded comparisons instead of broad type
changes.
No functional behavior changes are intended; this is a warning-resolution
and type-alignment cleanup.

Allow constructing the DCE link encoder without DDC,
which means the AUX registers array will be NULL.
This is necessary to support embedded connectors without DDC.

and an incomplete eDP assignment in integrated info parsing.

[Why]
Multiple display source files contain implicit narrowing
conversions when assigning wider integer types (int, uint32_t)
to narrower fields (uint8_t, uint16_t) at hardware register,
protocol, and storage boundaries. These conversions are
intentional but undocumented, and accompanying runtime assertions
add noise without providing compile-time safety.
[How]
Add explicit casts at all intentional narrowing boundaries across
display source files. Use narrower loop variable types where loop
bounds guarantee safe range. Remove runtime assertions paired
with narrowing casts, inline single-use intermediate variables,
and revert block scopes and braces introduced solely to contain
those assertions.

[Why]
The explicit include of linux/array_size.h in Display Core (DC) is
redundant. The ARRAY_SIZE macro is already provided by dm_services.h
(via os_types.h) which DC includes.
[How]
Remove the unnecessary #include <linux/array_size.h> from
dc_hw_sequencer.c and dce_clock_source.c.

Replaces the use of local NUM_ELEMENTS macro with the ARRAY_SIZE macro
defined in <linux/array_size.h>.
This aligns with existing coccinelle script array_size.cocci which has
been applied to other sources in order to remove inline
sizeof(a)/sizeof(a[0]) patterns from other source files.

Implicit signed-to-unsigned conversions caused compiler
warnings in DC paths.
[How]
Added explicit (unsigned int)/(uint32_t) casts for sentinel -1
assignments and IRQ ~MASK initializers, with small cast alignment
in logging/DPCD code.
Functionality and behavior is unchanged; only type intent is explicit.

For link encoders without HPD (analog or LVDS), add a
link_encoder_funcs structure with no hpd enable callbacks.
The enable and disable hpd callbacks are currently not used
outside of a special case in debugfs which checks if the hpd
is valid before using it, but this will protect us if they
ever are.

This file was not compiled or included anywhere and not
modified for years. And it has duplicate function
definitions of many functions that are defined in
other files.
That leads to a lot of confusion (for both developers
and for code editors), eg. when searching for a definition
of a function it can end up on one of the functions in
this file instead of the real implementations.
I suspect that it was forgotten that this should be
deleted after the various clock manager functions were
split into hardware generation specific files.
Delete it now.

The only difference between DCE 6 and other DCE versions is
that DCE 6 doesn't support DCCG_AUDIO_DTO2_USE_512FBR_DTO.
Recently a check was added to dce_aud_wall_dto_setup() to
check that. So now DCE 6 can just use dce_aud_wall_dto_setup()
just like other DCE versions.
Clean up DCE 6 specific audio functions which were otherwise
identical to the rest.

This converts some of the visually simpler cases that have been split
over multiple lines. I only did the ones that are easy to verify the
resulting diff by having just that final GFP_KERNEL argument on the next
line.
Somebody should probably do a proper coccinelle script for this, but for
me the trivial script actually resulted in an assertion failure in the
middle of the script. I probably had made it a bit _too_ trivial.
So after fighting that far a while I decided to just do some of the
syntactically simpler cases with variations of the previous 'sed'
scripts.
The more syntactically complex multi-line cases would mostly really want
whitespace cleanup anyway.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Ensure that the DAC output is enabled at the correct time by
moving it to the DCE link encoder similarly to how digital
outputs are enabled.
This also removes the call to DAC1EncoderControl from the DCE
HWSS, which always felt like it was a hacky solution.

Apparently the VBIOS SelectCRTC_Source function overwrites
a few registers (such as FMT_*) which DC writes in a different
place, which can cause problems.
Instead of using the SelectCRTC_Source function from the
VBIOS, use the DAC_SOURCE_SELECT register directly, similarly
to how it is done for digital link encoders.

The VBIOS DAC1EncoderControl() function can initialize the DAC,
by writing board-specific values to certain registers.
Call this at link encoder hardware initialization time similarly
to how the equivalent UNIPHYTransmitterControl initialization
is done.
This fixes DAC output on the Radeon HD 7790.
Also remove the ENCODER_CONTROL_SETUP enum from the
dac_encoder_control_prepare_params function which is actually
not a supported operation for DAC encoders.

Apparently, the VBIOS DAC1EncoderControl function is much more
graceful about turning off the DAC. It writes various DAC
registers in a specific sequence. Use that instead of just
clearing the DAC_ENABLE register.
Do this in just the dce110_link_encoder_disable_output
function and remove it from the HWSS.

[Why]
Post-driver cases always use linear tiling yet there is no dedicated
Gfx handling for this condition.
[How]
Add DcGfxBase/DalGfxBase to gfx version enums and set tiling to linear
when it is used. Also, enforce the use of proper tiling format as tiling
information is used.

Similarly to the analog_engine field, add a new analog_id field
which contains the encoder ID of the analog encoder that
corresponds to the link encoder.
Previously, the default encoder ID of the link encoder was used,
which meant that we passed the wrong ID in case of DVI-I.

Currently all dcn revisions have to follow the same codepath for
hotplug detection. This change allows per dcn hpd handling consolidating
hpd code in link_encoder.
