Pull USB / Thunderbolt updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the big set of USB and Thunderbolt driver updates for 7.3-rc1.
Lots of driver work for new devices and systems, and many other minor
fixes and updates. Included in here are:
- Thunderbolt subsystem driver updates and additions
- typec driver updates and additions
- usb gadget fixes all over the place, seems like people are finally
paying attention to these drivers for some reason
- xhci driver updates and fixes based on lots of reports
- usb-serial driver updates and additions
- new device ids

Add a ti,tps66993 compatible to explicitly identify TPS66993 devices.
The TPS66993 is not host-interface compatible with TPS6598x, so a distinct
compatible is required.
On the AMD/Xilinx VEK385 Evaluation Board, the Texas Instruments TPS66993
acts as the USB Type-C/USB PD DRP controller for the MMI USB interface,
handling CC signaling, connection detection, PD negotiation and power/data
role swapping.

Introduce the compatible definition for Shikra QCOM SNPS DWC3. Shikra SoC
has two usb controllers and the secondary controller is high-speed only
capable.

The Aspeed AST2700 SoC integrates the Synopsys DesignWare USB3 core with
no vendor glue logic: it is functionally compatible with snps,dwc3, uses
the standard DWC3 clocks, and the only SoC-specific part is a USB3 PHY
that is handled by a separate driver.
Add a dedicated binding document rather than adding the compatible and a
conditional to snps,dwc3.yaml. This follows the established per-vendor DWC3
convention (apple,dwc3.yaml, socionext,uniphier-dwc3.yaml, ...) and keeps
the AST2700-specific constraints - notably the mandatory USB3 PHY - out of
the generic schema.

Convention is to always have properties defined in top-level part of the
binding and then customized (narrowed per variant) in "if:then:" blocks.
The clock-names were mentioned only in such "if:then:" block for
atmel,at91rm9200-ohci, thus add the top-level part and disallow usage of
clock-names for other devices. This has no practical impact as
clock-names are not used by other variants, except in
hisilicon/hi3798cv200.dtsi, but that SoC has it undocumented.

control is different, add some specific versions for them, and add
compatilbe for mt8196.

IPQ5210 includes a Qualcomm DWC3 USB controller supported by the existing

There is no use of double colon '::' in YAML. OTOH, the literal style
block, e.g. using '|' treats all characters as content [1] therefore
single use of ':' in descriptions is perfectly fine, whenever '|' is
used.
Cleanup existing code, so the confusing style won't be re-used in new
contributions.

Introduce a new generic fallback compatible string 'cdns,cdnsp' for
Cadence USBSSP controllers to support hardware configurations where
the Dual-Role Device (DRD) register block is missing or inaccessible.
Following the maintainer's feedback, avoid generic property-like naming
(such as "-no-drd") and use a clean generic fallback. To keep the schema
resource-driven and strictly validated, define a two-string compatible
matrix using an empty schema ({}) wildcard. This allows future vendor
SoC compatibles to be prepended while safely falling back to the 2-resource
USBSSP configuration.
When 'cdns,cdnsp' is matched:
- The 'otg' register and interrupt resources are not required.
- The 'reg' and 'interrupts' properties are restricted to 2 items
(host and device).
- 'dr_mode' must be explicitly set to either 'host' or 'peripheral'.
The standard 'cdns,usb3' compatible remains unchanged, maintaining
backward compatibility by requiring all 3 resource sets (otg, host, dev).

The Qualcomm PMIC Type-C devices historically provided their own way of
specifying the VBUS regulator, via the device's vdd-vbus-supply node.
This is not ideal as the VBUS is supplied to the connector and not to
the Type-C block in the PMIC. Deprecate this property in favour of the
standard way of specifying it (via the connector's vbus-supply
property).

The binding defines both "port" and "connector" properties, where the
"port" is claimed to be for "data-role switching messages". There is no
such dedicated data port for this device and role switching is part of
connector ports - the port going to the USB controller.
The driver does not use the "port" property and there is no upstream DTS
which would have it. It looks like it's left-over of early versions of
this patchset and is completely redundant now, so let's drop it.

Some Qualcomm SoCs such as apq8064 and msm8960 require a third "fs"
clock in addition to "iface" and "core", needed to propagate resets
through the controller and wrapper logic. Later SoCs such as msm8974
dropped this requirement and only use two clocks.
Note that the existing apq8064 and msm8960 DTS files currently specify
the "iface" and "core" clocks in reverse order compared to most newer
SoCs DTS, which causes dtbs_check warnings for these older SoCs. The
dependent patch series will fix that clock ordering.

The EIC7700 USB requires a USB PHY reset operation; otherwise, the USB
will not work. The reason why the USB driver that was applied can work
properly is that the USB PHY has already been reset in ESWIN's U-Boot.
However, the proper functioning of the USB driver should not be dependent
on the bootloader. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate the USB PHY
reset signal into the DT bindings.
This patch does not introduce any backward incompatibility since the dts
is not upstream yet. As array of reset operations are used in the driver,
no modifications to the USB controller driver are needed.

The deprecated 'usb-phy' property is documented already in usb.yaml and
doesn't need a type definition here. It just needs constraints on how
many entries there are.
As this is a host controller, reference usb-hcd.yaml which then
references usb.yaml.

with phandle and fixed arg cells entries. A matrix property should have 2
levels of items constraints.

Update the Cadence USBSS DRD binding to document that it also covers
the USBSSP (SuperSpeed Plus, USB 3.1 gen2x1) controller. Both USBSS
and USBSSP share the same DRD/OTG register interface, so the driver
auto-detects the controller version at runtime: no additional
compatible string is needed.

Add a regulator supply property for vbus. This notifies the regulator
provider to source vbus when Type-C operates in Source power mode,
while turn off sourcing vbus when operating in Sink mode or
disconnected.

Terminus FE1.1s is USB2.0 protocol compliant 4-port USB HUB, It support
MTT (Multiple Transaction Translator) mode, the upstream port supports
high-speed 480MHz and full-speed 12MHz modes, also has integrated 5V to
3.3V, 1.8V regulator and Power-On-Reset circuit.
Introduce the DT binding for it.

The qcom,sm4250-dwc3 is already documented in top level part, but it
misses specific constraints for clocks. The SoC is derivative of SM6115
(or vice versa), so the interrupts part is incorrectly placed and should
be same as for SM6115.

The top-level part defines variable number of clocks and interrupts, and
each "if:then:" block narrows them. It however narrows only the
maxItems leaving minItems undefined, which then takes different values
depending on dtschema being used.
Recommended style is to avoid ambiguity in such case, thus if top-level
part has broad constraints, then each "if:then:" must specify both upper
and lower limits.
Add missing constraints, mostly minItems but also maxItems for one
variant.

Update the Cadence USBSS DRD binding to document that it also covers
the USBSSP (SuperSpeed Plus, USB 3.1 gen2x1) controller. Both USBSS
and USBSSP share the same DRD/OTG register interface, so the driver
auto-detects the controller version at runtime — no additional
compatible string is needed.

- maximum-speed: add super-speed-plus

As stated in [1], ETEK ET7304 is identical to Richtek RT1715, except for
the VID value in its registers, so reflect it in the bindings via a
fallback compatible.
As there are various TCPCI chips by different vendors reimplementing the
registers and behavior of the RT1711H/RT1715, fallback compatibles will
scale better.

Add compatible string for DWC3 USB controller found in SpacemiT K3 SoC.
The USB2.0 host controller in K3 SoC actually use DWC3 IP but only support
USB2.0 functionality, thus in the hardware layer, it has only one USB2 PHY.
While in K1 SoC, the USB controller has both USB2 and USB3 Combo PHY
connected, but able to work in a reduced USB2.0 mode which requres only
one USB2 PHY, leaves the USB3 Combo PHY to PCIe controller. So both K1
and K3 SoC are able to work in the USB2.0 mode which requires one PHY.
Explicitly reduce number of phy property to minimal one.

The Type-C chip know the cable orientation and then normally will set the
switch channel to correctly configure the data path. Some chips itself
support to output the control signal by indicating the capability in
bit[0] of STANDARD_OUTPUT_CAPABILITIES register and do it in
CONFIG_STANDARD_OUTPUT register. For PTN5110 which doesn't present this
capability currently there is no way to achieve the orientation setting.
Add an optional "orientation-gpios" property to achieve the same purpose.

Onboard USB hubs might be nested. Add the reference for the generic
usb-hub.yaml binding and lift the restriction on peer-hub.
A (downstream) hub might only be connected on USB High-Speed lines.

Document the compatible for the Qualcomm Synopsys DWC3 glue controller
found on Eliza SoC.
It follows the same binding requirements as other recent Qualcomm
