The Loongson-2K0300 SoC exposes its chip ID registers through a syscon
interface. Add the specific compatible `loongson,ls2k0300-chipid-syscon`
to the allowed list of syscon bindings so that it can be referenced from
the thermal node via a phandle.

Add bindings for the Qualcomm MBG (Master Bandgap) temperature alarm
peripheral found on the PM8775 PMIC. Unlike the existing SPMI temp alarm
peripheral, the MBG peripheral supports both hot and cold threshold
monitoring across two programmable levels (LVL1 and LVL2), with interrupt
status reported via a fault status register over SPMI.

Convert the OMAP HS USB Host TLL bindings to DT schema.
During the conversion, ti,hwmods has been made optional to resolve
dtbs_check warnings. Modern OMAP platforms do not require this
property, but it is still required for older platforms.

The compatible string "st,stmpe601" is a typo and does not correspond to
any existing STMPE device in either the driver or DTS files. The correct
compatible string is "st,stmpe610".
Fix the typo to ensure proper schema matching and eliminate the
following CHECK_DTBS warning:

Older dtschema <2024.02 required custom select to avoid applying this
binding to anything having "syscon" compatible. That's not the case
anymore and this additional select has two headaches:
1. Duplicates all the compatibles listed in the schema.
2. Is error-prone, because it requires contributor to add the compatible
in two places, otherwise the schema will be silently ignored.
The select list already misses mentioning compatibles:
mediatek,mt8365-infracfg-nao and renesas,r9a08g046-lvds-cmn (with the
latter being reverted for different reasons).
This requires bumping minimum dtschema requirement to v2024.04, which
feels old enough to be a safe requirement.

"syscon" is a system controller with registers having their own
functions, thus not really a trivial MMIO simple bus. "simple-bus" on
the other hand is just a bus on which multiple devices sit and the
"simple" means no functions are allowed here.
Combination of both "syscon" and "simple-bus" is abuse of DT for easier
instantiating of Linux device drivers so add a schema to disallow that.
Unfortunately there are a few old cases of that patterns, so add
exceptions:
1. "cznic,turris1x-cpld" and "img,pistachio-cr-periph" are already used
in upstream DTS.
2. TI has several DTSI with a child of SCM device (e.g. "ti,am3-scm")
using "syscon" and "simple-bus" but without a dedicated compatible
documented anywhere. Add new compatibles for such cases.
Additionally, add comments around code enforcing two or three
compatibles: it is similar safeguard detecting incorrect bindings.

Revert commit 51284d8b1dbc ("dt-bindings: mfd: syscon: Document the
LVDS_CMN syscon for the RZ/G3L") because it is completely not matching
reality and clearly incorrect in respect of renesas,r9a08g046-lvds-cmn.
It wasn't ever build-tested by author on their DTS, either.
The documented renesas,r9a08g046-lvds-cmn compatible clearly disallows
any children and simple-mfd fallback, however its only use in original
patchset is with simple-mfd and children, so this could have never
worked.

The st,stmpe-pwm binding is already covered by the MFD schema in
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/mfd/st,stmpe.yaml. However, the
PWM subnode was missing a 'required' properties block. This allowed
Device Tree nodes to pass validation even if the 'compatible'
string was omitted. This omission could lead to probe failures
at runtime.
Fix the schema by adding the missing 'required' block.

The AST2700 SoC integrates two interconnected SoC instances, each
managed by its own System Control Unit (SCU).
Allow the AST2700 SoC1 pin controller to be described as a child
node of the SCU by extending the compatible strings accepted by
the SCU binding.
There is no functional change to the SCU binding beyond permitting
the aspeed,ast2700-soc1-pinctrl compatible string.

On the MT6397 family each buck regulator has a separate supply. LDOs are
split into various groups with independent supplies. There is also a
supply for the regulator control logic.
Add descriptions for all of the supplies for the MT6359.

AST2700 consists of two interconnected SoC instances, each with its own
System Control Unit (SCU). The SCU0 provides pin control, interrupt
controllers, clocks, resets, and address-space mappings for the
Secondary and Tertiary Service Processors (SSP and TSP).
Describe the SSP/TSP address mappings using the standard
memory-region and memory-region-names properties.
Disallow legacy child nodes that are not present on AST2700, including
p2a-control and smp-memram. The latter is unnecessary as software can
access the scratch registers via the SCU syscon.
Also allow the AST2700 SoC0 pin controller to be described as a child
node of the SCU0, and add an example illustrating the SCU0 layout,
including reserved-memory, interrupt controllers, and pinctrl.

Convert the Hisilicon Hi655x PMIC binding from the text format to DT schema
to enable dtbs_check validation.
The 'regulators' child node is added based on existing usage in
arch/arm64/boot/dts/hisilicon/hi6220-hikey.dts, which defines child
regulator nodes not documented in the original .txt binding.
The uppercase LDO names are retained to match existing DTS usage.

The RZ/G3{E,L} SoCs have an LVDS Common (LVDS_CMN) region which is common
to all LVDS channels. The RZ/G3L has single-link, but the RZ/G3E has both
single and dual-link.
Use the syscon interface to access these registers for scalability.

TI BQ25792 is similar in operation to BQ25703A, but has a different
register layout and different current/voltage capabilities.
Expand the existing BQ25703A binding to include BQ25792, and move the

Samsung's S2MU005 PMIC includes subdevices for a charger, an MUIC (Micro
USB Interface Controller), and flash and RGB LED controllers.
Add the compatible and documentation for the S2MU005 PMIC. Also, add an
example for nodes for supported sub-devices, i.e. MUIC, flash LEDs, and
RGB LEDs. Charger sub-device uses the node of the parent.

Apple Silicon devices integrate a vast array of sensors, monitoring
current, power, temperature, and voltage across almost every part of
the system. The sensors themselves are all connected to the System
Management Controller (SMC). The SMC firmware exposes the data
reported by these sensors via its standard FourCC-based key-value
API. The SMC is also responsible for monitoring and controlling any
fans connected to the system, exposing them in the same way.
For reasons known only to Apple, each device exposes its sensors with
an almost totally unique set of keys. This is true even for devices
which share an SoC. An M1 Mac mini, for example, will report its core
temperatures on different keys to an M1 MacBook Pro. Worse still, the
SMC does not provide a way to enumerate the available keys at runtime,
nor do the keys follow any sort of reasonable or consistent naming
rules that could be used to deduce their purpose. We must therefore
know which keys are present on any given device, and which function
they serve, ahead of time.
Add a schema so that we can describe the available sensors for a given
Apple Silicon device in the Devicetree.

"We've finally gotten rid of the struct clk_ops::round_rate() code
after months of effort from Brian Masney. Now the only option is to
use determine_rate(), which is good because that takes a struct
argument instead of just a couple unsigned longs, allowing us to
easily modify the way we determine and set rates in the clk tree.
Beyond that core framework change we've got the typical pile of new
SoC clk driver additions, fixes for clk data and/or adding missing
clks because the consumer driver using those clks wasn't ready, etc.

regulator property
Extend the max77759 binding to reference power-supply schema, so that
PMIC node can reference its supplier. Also, add regulator property to
control CHGIN (OTG) voltage.

Convert max77620 Device Tree bindings from TXT to YAML format. This patch
does not change any functionality; the bindings remain the same. The
thermal bindings are incorporated into the binding. GPIO controller
function in MAX77620 has no dedicated node and is folded into the parent
node itself.

The ROHM BD79300 is almost identical to the BD72720. Main differences
are the initial values for some of the registers. Thus, it appears the
BD79300 can be handled with same software as BD72720.
Adding the compatible for the BD79300 enables people to use the real IC
type in the device-tree instead of claiming it is BD72720. This does
also help differentiating the ICs if appears it is needed.
Add own compatible for the BD73900 and mark BD72720 as a fall-back.

Add supply properties that match the P1 PMIC's actual hardware topology
where each buck converter has its own VIN pin and LDO groups share
common input pins. Supply names are defined according to the pinout
names in the P1 datasheet.
The existing "vin-supply" is dropped from the binding document as the
updated spacemit P1 driver no longer parses it. Only the per-rail names
("vin1-supply", "vin2-supply", ...) are supported.

Add clock and reset bindings for EN751221 as well as a "chip-scu" which is
an additional regmap that is used by the clock driver as well as others.
This split of the SCU across two register areas is the same as the Airoha
AN758x family.

For the PMIC5-Gen3 type PMICs, ADC peripheral is present in HW for the
following PMICs: PMK8550, PM8550, PM8550B and PM8550VX PMICs.
It is similar to PMIC5-Gen2, with SW communication to ADCs on all PMICs
going through PBS(Programmable Boot Sequence) firmware through a single
register interface. This interface is implemented on SDAM (Shared
Direct Access Memory) peripherals on the master PMIC PMK8550 rather
than a dedicated ADC peripheral.
Add documentation for PMIC5 Gen3 ADC and update SPMI PMIC bindings to
allow ADC5 Gen3 as adc@ subnode.
