2025-10-13iio: adc: ad7124: add debugfs to disable single cycle modeDavid Lechner
Add a boolean debugfs attribute to allow disabling the SINGLE_CYCLE bit in the FILTER registers. This causes data to be read on every conversion instead of doing the usual 3 or 4 conversions per sample (depending on the filter). This is only needed for very specific use cases, such as validating the performance of the ADC. So we just expose this feature through debugfs for the rare cases where it is needed by people who really know what they are doing. 2025-10-13usb: typec: ucsi: Handle incorrect num_connectors capabilityMark Pearson
The UCSI spec states that the num_connectors field is 7 bits, and the 8th bit is reserved and should be set to zero. Some buggy FW has been known to set this bit, and it can lead to a system not booting. Flag that the FW is not behaving correctly, and auto-fix the value so that the system boots correctly. Found on Lenovo P1 G8 during Linux enablement program. The FW will be fixed, but seemed worth addressing in case it hit platforms that aren't officially Linux supported. 2025-10-13USB: Fix descriptor count when handling invalid MBIM extended descriptorSeungjin Bae
In cdc_parse_cdc_header(), the check for the USB_CDC_MBIM_EXTENDED_TYPE descriptor was using 'break' upon detecting an invalid length. This was incorrect because 'break' only exits the switch statement, causing the code to fall through to cnt++, thus incorrectly incrementing the count of parsed descriptors for a descriptor that was actually invalid and being discarded. This patch changes 'break' to 'goto next_desc;' to ensure that the logic skips the counter increment and correctly proceeds to the next descriptor in the buffer. This maintains an accurate count of only the successfully parsed descriptors. 2025-10-13ata: libata-core: relax checks in ata_read_log_directory()Damien Le Moal
Commit 6d4405b16d37 ("ata: libata-core: Cache the general purpose log directory") introduced caching of a device general purpose log directory to avoid repeated access to this log page during device scan. This change also added a check on this log page to verify that the log page version is 0x0001 as mandated by the ACS specifications. And it turns out that some devices do not bother reporting this version, instead reporting a version 0, resulting in error messages such as: ata6.00: Invalid log directory version 0x0000 and to the device being marked as not supporting the general purpose log directory log page. Since before commit 6d4405b16d37 the log page version check did not exist and things were still working correctly for these devices, relax ata_read_log_directory() version check and only warn about the invalid log page version number without disabling access to the log directory page. Some SoCs, such as the Aspeed AST2700, require the UHCI controller to be taken out of reset before it can operate. Add optional reset control support to the UHCI platform driver. The driver now acquires an optional reset line from device tree, deasserts it during probe, and asserts it again in the error path and shutdown. 2025-10-13staging: axis-fifo: simplify interrupt handlingOvidiu Panait
The irq handler iterates through the interrupt bits one by one in a while() loop, clearing one bit at a time. This is unnecessary and inefficient, as the 'Interrupt Status Register' can be cleared with a single write operation. Also the irq handler checks for some interrupts that are masked out in the 'Interrupt Enable Register', so they are never triggered. Simplify the irq handler by removing the checks for interrupts that are masked out and clear the whole 'Interrupt Status Register' in one go. The macros that are no longer relevant are also removed. Mark the interrupt as IRQF_SHARED to permit multiple counter channels to share the same TCB IRQ line. Each Timer/Counter Block (TCB) instance shares a single IRQ line among its three internal channels. When multiple counter channels (e.g., counter@0 and counter@1) within the same TCB are enabled, the second call to devm_request_irq() fails because the IRQ line is already requested by the first channel. 2025-10-13powerpc, ocxl: Fix extraction of struct xive_irq_dataNam Cao
Commit cc0cc23babc9 ("powerpc/xive: Untangle xive from child interrupt controller drivers") changed xive_irq_data to be stashed to chip_data instead of handler_data. However, multiple places are still attempting to read xive_irq_data from handler_data and get a NULL pointer deference bug. Update them to read xive_irq_data from chip_data. Non-XIVE files which touch xive_irq_data seem quite strange to me, especially the ocxl driver. I think there ought to be an alternative platform-independent solution, instead of touching XIVE's data directly. Therefore, I think this whole thing should be cleaned up. But perhaps I just misunderstand something. In any case, this cleanup would not be trivial; for now, just get things working again.
