As KF_TRUSTED_ARGS is now considered default for all kfuns, the verifier
will not allow passing NULL pointers to these kfuns. These checks for
NULL pointers can therefore be removed.

As KF_TRUSTED_ARGS is now considered the default for all kfuncs, the
opts parameter in bpf_xdp_get_xfrm_state() can never be NULL. Verifier
will detect this at load time and will not allow passing NULL to this
function. This matches the documentation above the kfunc that says this
parameter (opts) Cannot be NULL.

bpf_xdp_ct_lookup() and bpf_skb_ct_lookup() receive bpf_tuple and opts
parameter that are expected to be not NULL for real usages (see doc
string above functions). They return an error if NULL is passed for opts
or tuple.
The verifier will now reject programs that pass NULL to these
parameters, the kfuns can assume that these are always valid pointer, so
drop the NULL checks for these parameters.

Change the verifier to make trusted args the default requirement for
all kfuncs by removing is_kfunc_trusted_args() assuming it be to always
return true.
This works because:
1. Context pointers (xdp_md, __sk_buff, etc.) are handled through their
own KF_ARG_PTR_TO_CTX case label and bypass the trusted check
2. Struct_ops callback arguments are already marked as PTR_TRUSTED during
initialization and pass is_trusted_reg()
3. KF_RCU kfuncs are handled separately via is_kfunc_rcu() checks at
call sites (always checked with || alongside is_kfunc_trusted_args)
This simple change makes all kfuncs require trusted args by default
while maintaining correct behavior for all existing special cases.
Note: This change means kfuncs that previously accepted NULL pointers
without KF_TRUSTED_ARGS will now reject NULL at verification time.
Several netfilter kfuncs are affected: bpf_xdp_ct_lookup(),
bpf_skb_ct_lookup(), bpf_xdp_ct_alloc(), and bpf_skb_ct_alloc() all
accept NULL for their bpf_tuple and opts parameters internally (checked
in __bpf_nf_ct_lookup), but after this change the verifier rejects NULL
before the kfunc is even called. This is acceptable because these kfuncs
don't work with NULL parameters in their proper usage. Now they will be
rejected rather than returning an error, which shouldn't make a
difference to BPF programs that were using these kfuncs properly.

When the NFSD instance doesn't to startup, the net ref data memory is
not properly reclaimed, which triggers the memory leak issue reported
by syzbot [1].
To avoid the problem reported in [1], the net ref data memory reclamation
action is moved outside of nfsd_net_up when the net is shutdown.

If we are trying to unlock the filesystem via an administrative
interface and nfsd isn't running, it crashes the server. This
happens currently because nfsd4_revoke_states() access state
structures (eg., conf_id_hashtbl) that has been freed as a part
of the server shutdown.

The loop in nfsd4_revoke_states() stops one too early because
the end value given is CLIENT_HASH_MASK where it should be
CLIENT_HASH_SIZE.
This means that an admin request to drop all locks for a filesystem will
miss locks held by clients which hash to the maximum possible hash value.

Writing to v4_end_grace can race with server shutdown and result in
memory being accessed after it was freed - reclaim_str_hashtbl in
particularly.
We cannot hold nfsd_mutex across the nfsd4_end_grace() call as that is
held while client_tracking_op->init() is called and that can wait for
an upcall to nfsdcltrack which can write to v4_end_grace, resulting in a
deadlock.
nfsd4_end_grace() is also called by the landromat work queue and this
doesn't require locking as server shutdown will stop the work and wait
for it before freeing anything that nfsd4_end_grace() might access.
However, we must be sure that writing to v4_end_grace doesn't restart
the work item after shutdown has already waited for it. For this we
add a new flag protected with nn->client_lock. It is set only while it
is safe to make client tracking calls, and v4_end_grace only schedules
work while the flag is set with the spinlock held.
So this patch adds a nfsd_net field "client_tracking_active" which is
set as described. Another field "grace_end_forced", is set when
v4_end_grace is written. After this is set, and providing
client_tracking_active is set, the laundromat is scheduled.
This "grace_end_forced" field bypasses other checks for whether the
grace period has finished.
This resolves a race which can result in use-after-free.

Commit abc02e5602f7 ("NFSD: Support write delegations in LAYOUTGET")
added NFSD_MAY_OWNER_OVERRIDE to the access flags passed from
nfsd4_layoutget() to fh_verify(). This causes LAYOUTGET to fail for
executable-only files, and causes xfstests generic/126 to fail on
pNFS SCSI.
To allow read access to executable-only files, what we really want is:
1. The "permissions" portion of the access flags (the lower 6 bits)
must be exactly NFSD_MAY_READ
2. The "hints" portion of the access flags (the upper 26 bits) can
contain any combination of NFSD_MAY_OWNER_OVERRIDE and
NFSD_MAY_READ_IF_EXEC

I haven't found an NFSERR_EAGAIN in RFCs 1094, 1813, 7530, or 8881.
None of these RFCs have an NFS status code that match the numeric
value "11".
Based on the meaning of the EAGAIN errno, I presume the use of this
status in NFSD means NFS4ERR_DELAY. So replace the one usage of
nfserr_eagain, and remove it from NFSD's NFS status conversion
tables.
As far as I can tell, NFSERR_EAGAIN has existed since the pre-git
era, but was not actually used by any code until commit f4e44b393389
("NFSD: delay unmount source's export after inter-server copy
completed."), at which time it become possible for NFSD to return
a status code of 11 (which is not valid NFS protocol).

Currently, the max_hw_discard_sectors of a stripe target is set to the
minimum max_hw_discard_sectors among all sub devices. When the discard
bio is larger than max_hw_discard_sectors, this may cause the stripe
device to split discard bios unnecessarily, because the value of
max_hw_discard_sectors affects max_discard_sectors, which equal to
min(max_hw_discard_sectors, max_user_discard_sectors).
For example:

dm-1 is the stripe device, and its discard_max_bytes is equal to
each sub device’s discard_max_bytes. Since the requested discard
length exceeds discard_max_bytes, the block layer splits the discard bio:
block_bio_queue: 252,1 DS 0 + 2097152 [blkdiscard]
block_split: 252,1 DS 0 / 1048576 [blkdiscard]
block_rq_issue: 253,48 DS 268435456 () 0 + 524288 be,0,4 [blkdiscard]
block_bio_queue: 253,64 DS 524288 + 524288 [blkdiscard]
However, both vdd and vde can actually handle a discard bio of 536870912
bytes, so this split is not necessary.
This patch updates the stripe target’s q->limits.max_hw_discard_sectors
to be the minimum max_hw_discard_sectors of the sub devices multiplied
by the # of stripe devices, and max_hw_discard_sectors must round down to
chunk size multiply # of stripe devices to avoid issue discard bio to sub
devices which is larger than max_hw_discard_sectors.
This patch enables the stripe device to handle larger discard bios
without incurring unnecessary splitting.

The -EEXIST error code is reserved by the module loading infrastructure
to indicate that a module is already loaded. When a module's init
function returns -EEXIST, userspace tools like kmod interpret this as
"module already loaded" and treat the operation as successful, returning
0 to the user even though the module initialization actually failed.
This follows the precedent set by commit 54416fd76770 ("netfilter:
conntrack: helper: Replace -EEXIST by -EBUSY") which fixed the same
issue in nf_conntrack_helper_register().

Since commit 15f73f5b3e59 ("blk-mq: move failure injection out of
blk_mq_complete_request"), drivers are responsible for calling
blk_should_fake_timeout() at appropriate code paths and opportunities.
However, the dm driver does not implement its own timeout handler and
relies on the timeout handling of its slave devices.
If an io-timeout-fail error is injected to a dm device, the request
will be leaked and never completed, causing tasks to hang indefinitely.
Reproduce:

subsystem ID 0x8706 using the ALC236_FIXUP_HP_MUTE_LED_COEFBIT2

The function acpi_video_get_capabilities() was removed from
drivers/acpi/video_detect.c by commit 87521e16a7ab ("acpi-video-detect:
Rewrite backlight interface selection logic") in 2015. At the time,
comments about this function were just removed, and no replacement
seemed to be proposed.
Drop the reference to acpi_video_get_capabilities() here as well.

For the sake of interface cleanliness, it is better to avoid using
ACPICA data types in the parameter lists of helper functions that
don't belong to ACPICA, so adjust the parameter list of recently
introduced acpi_osc_handshake() to take a capabilities buffer pointer
and the size of the buffer (in u32 size units) as parameters directly
instead of a struct acpi_buffer pointer.
This is also somewhat more straightforward on the caller side because
they won't need to create struct acpi_buffer objects themselves to pass
them to the helper function and it guarantees that the size of the
buffer in bytes will always be a multiple of 4 (the size of u32).
Moreover, it addresses a premature cap pointer dereference and
eliminates a sizeof(32) that should have been sizeof(u32) [1].

Add virtqueue_add_inbuf_cache_clean() for passing DMA_ATTR_CPU_CACHE_CLEAN
to virtqueue operations. This suppresses DMA debug cacheline overlap
warnings for buffers where proper cache management is ensured by the
caller.

If a driver is buggy and has 2 overlapping mappings but only
sets cache clean flag on the 1st one of them, we warn.
But if it only does it for the 2nd one, we don't.
Fix by tracking cache clean flag in the entry.

irqd_get_trigger_type() is meant for cases where the driver needs to
know the configured IRQ trigger type and e.g. wants to change its
behaviour accordingly. Furthermore, platform support code, e.g. DT
handling, will configure the hardware based on that, and drivers don't
need to pass the trigger type into request_irq() and friends.
Drop the use from this driver, as it doesn't need to know the trigger
type.

Add a new driver which provides a 1-to-many mapping for a single real
GPIO using a multiplexer. Each virtual GPIO corresponds to a multiplexer
state which, if set for the multiplexer, connects the real GPIO to the
corresponding virtual GPIO.
This can help in various usecases. One practical case is the special
hardware design of the Realtek-based XS1930-10 switch from Zyxel. It
features two SFP+ ports/cages whose signals are wired directly to the
switch SoC. Although Realtek SoCs are short on GPIOs, there are usually
enough the fit the SFP signals without any hacks.
However, Zyxel did some weird design and connected RX_LOS, MOD_ABS and
TX_FAULT of one SFP cage onto a single GPIO line controlled by a
multiplexer (the same for the other SFP cage). The single multiplexer
controls the lines for both SFP and depending on the state, the
designated 'signal GPIO lines' are connected to one of the three SFP
signals.
Because the SFP core/driver doesn't support multiplexer but needs single
GPIOs for each of the signals, this driver fills the gap between both.
It registers a gpio_chip, provides multiple virtual GPIOs and sets the
backing multiplexer accordingly.
Due to several practical issues, this is input-only and doesn't support
IRQs.

Add dt-schema for a gpio-line-mux controller which exposes virtual
GPIOs for a shared GPIO controlled by a multiplexer, e.g. a gpio-mux.
The gpio-line-mux controller is a gpio-controller, thus has mostly the
same semantics. However, it requires a mux-control to be specified upon
which it will operate.

The reference obtained by calling usb_get_dev() is not released in the
gpio_mpsse_probe() error paths. Fix that by using device managed helper
functions. Also remove the usb_put_dev() call in the disconnect function
since now it will be released automatically.

Currently last_gc is being updated everytime a new connection is
tracked, that means that it is updated even if a GC wasn't performed.
With a sufficiently high packet rate, it is possible to always bypass
the GC, causing the list to grow infinitely.
Update the last_gc value only when a GC has been actually performed.

In nf_tables_newrule(), if nft_use_inc() fails, the function jumps to
the err_release_rule label without freeing the allocated flow, leading
to a memory leak.
Fix this by adding a new label err_destroy_flow and jumping to it when
nft_use_inc() fails. This ensures that the flow is properly released
in this error case.

GPIO drivers with latch input support may miss short pulses on input
pins even when input latching is enabled. The generic interrupt logic in
the pca953x driver reports interrupts by comparing the current input
value against the previously sampled one and only signals an event when
a level change is observed between two reads.
For short pulses, the first edge is captured when the input register is
read, but if the signal returns to its previous level before the read,
the second edge is not observed. As a result, successive pulses can
produce identical input values at read time and no level change is
detected, causing interrupts to be missed. Below timing diagram shows
this situation where the top signal is the input pin level and the
bottom signal indicates the latched value.

PCAL variants provide an interrupt status register that records which
pins triggered an interrupt, but the status and input registers cannot
be read atomically. The interrupt status is only cleared when the input
port is read, and the input value must also be read to determine the
triggering edge. If another interrupt occurs on a different line after
the status register has been read but before the input register is
sampled, that event will not be reflected in the earlier status
snapshot, so relying solely on the interrupt status register is also
insufficient.
Support for input latching and interrupt status handling was previously
added by [1], but the interrupt status-based logic was reverted by [2]
due to these issues. This patch addresses the original problem by
combining both sources of information. Events indicated by the interrupt
status register are merged with events detected through the existing
level-change logic. As a result:
* short pulses, whose second edges are invisible, are detected via the
interrupt status register, and
* interrupts that occur between the status and input reads are still
caught by the generic level-change logic.
This significantly improves robustness on devices that signal interrupts
as short pulses, while avoiding the issues that led to the earlier
reversion. In practice, even if only the first edge of a pulse is
observable, the interrupt is reliably detected.
This fixes missed interrupts from an Ilitek touch controller with its
interrupt line connected to a PCAL6416A, where active-low pulses are
approximately 200 us long.

If two drivers were calling gpiochip_add_data_with_key(), one may be
traversing the srcu-protected list in gpio_name_to_desc(), meanwhile
other has just added its gdev in gpiodev_add_to_list_unlocked().
This creates a non-mutexed and non-protected timeframe, when one
instance is dereferencing and using &gdev->srcu, before the other
has initialized it, resulting in crash:

We currently support sharing GPIOs between multiple devices whose drivers
use either the GPIOLIB API *OR* the reset control API but not both at
the same time.
There's an unlikely corner-case where a reset-gpios pin can be shared by
one driver using the GPIOLIB API and a second using the reset API. This
will currently not work as the reset-gpio consumers are not described in
firmware at the time of scanning so the shared GPIO just chooses one of
the proxies created for the consumers when the reset-gpio driver performs
the lookup. This can of course conflict in the case described above.
In order to fix it: if we deal with the "reset-gpios" pin that's shared
acconding to the firmware node setup, create a proxy for each described
consumer as well as another one for the potential reset-gpio device. To
that end: rework the matching to take this into account.

When matching the firmware node with the potential consumer, we
currently omit the con_id string. This can lead to false positives in
the unlikely case of the consumer having been assigned more than one
shared GPIO. Check the connector ID before proceeding.

The GPIO machine lookup mechanism dates back to old ARM board files
where lookup tables would all be defined in a single place. Since then,
lookup tables have also been used to address various DT and ACPI quirks
like missing GPIOs and - as of recently - setting up shared GPIO proxy
devices.
The lookup itself stops when we find the first matching table for a
consumer and - if it doesn't contain the right entry - the lookup fails.
Since the tables can now be defined in multiple places and we can't know
how many there are, effectively limiting a consumer to only a single
lookup table is no longer viable.
Rework the code to always look through all tables matching the consumer.
