iptables/nftables has two types of log modules:

1. backend, e.g. nf_log_syslog, which implement the functionality
2. frontend, e.g. xt_LOG or nft_log, which call the functionality
provided by backend based on nf_tables or xtables rule set.

Problem is that the request_module() call to load the backed in
nf_logger_find_get() might happen with nftables transaction mutex held
in case the call path is via nf_tables/nft_compat.

This can cause deadlocks (see 'Fixes' tags for details).

The chosen solution as to let modprobe deal with this by adding 'pre: '
soft dep tag to xt_LOG (to load the syslog backend) and xt_NFLOG (to
load nflog backend).

Eric reports that this breaks on systems with older modprobe that
doesn't support softdeps.

Another, similar issue occurs when someone either insmods xt_(NF)LOG
directly or unloads the backend module (possible if no log frontend
is in use): because the frontend module is already loaded, modprobe is
not invoked again so the softdep isn't evaluated.

Add a workaround: If nf_logger_find_get() returns -ENOENT and call
is not via nft_compat, load the backend explicitly and try again.

Else, let nft_compat ask for deferred request_module via nf_tables
infra.

Softdeps are kept in-place, so with newer modprobe the dependencies
are resolved from userspace.

Fixes: cefa31a9d461 ("netfilter: nft_log: perform module load from nf_tables")
Fixes: a38b5b56d6f4 ("netfilter: nf_log: add module softdeps")

xt_LOG has no direct dependency on the syslog-based logger, it relies
on the nf_log core to probe the requested backend.

Now that all syslog-based loggers reside in the same module, we can
just add a soft dependency on nf_log_syslog and let modprobe take
care of it.

The nfulnl_log_packet() is added to make sure that the NFLOG target
works as only user-space logger. but now, nf_log_packet() can find proper
log function using NF_LOG_TYPE_ULOG and NF_LOG_TYPE_LOG.

Place pointer to hook state in xt_action_param structure instead of
copying the fields that we need. After this change xt_action_param fits
into one cacheline.

This patch also adds a set of new wrapper functions to fetch relevant
hook state structure fields.

Justin and Chris spotted that iptables NFLOG target was broken when they
upgraded the kernel to 4.8: "ulogd-2.0.5- IPs are no longer logged" or
"results in segfaults in ulogd-2.0.5".

Because "struct nf_loginfo li;" is a local variable, and flags will be
filled with garbage value, not inited to zero. So if it contains 0x1,
packets will not be logged to the userspace anymore.

li->u.ulog.copy_len is currently ignored by the kernel, we should truncate
the packet to either li->u.ulog.copy_len (if set) or copy_range before
sending it to userspace. 0 is a valid input for copy_len, so add a new
flag to indicate whether this was option was specified by the user or not.

Add two flags to indicate whether nflog-size/copy_len was set or not.
XT_NFLOG_F_COPY_LEN is for XT_NFLOG and NFLOG_F_COPY_LEN for nfnetlink_log

On the userspace side, this was initially represented by the option
nflog-range, this will be replaced by --nflog-size now. --nflog-range would
still exist but does not do anything.
