In mrp_pdu_parse_vecattr(), vector attribute events are encoded three
per byte and valen tracks the number of events left to process.

The parser decrements valen after processing the first and second events
from each event byte, but not after processing the third one. When valen
is exactly a multiple of three, the loop continues after the last valid
event and consumes the next byte as a new event byte, applying a
spurious event to the MRP applicant state.

Additionally, when valen is zero the parser unconditionally consumes
attrlen bytes as FirstValue and advances the offset, even though per
IEEE 802.1ak a VectorAttribute with only a LeaveAllEvent has valen of
zero and no FirstValue or Vector fields. This corrupts the offset for
subsequent PDU parsing.

Also, when valen exceeds three the loop crosses byte boundaries but
the attribute value is not incremented between the last event of one
byte and the first event of the next. This causes the first event of
the next byte to use the same attribute value as the third event
rather than the next consecutive value.

Decrement valen after processing the third event, skip FirstValue
consumption when valen is zero, and increment the attribute value at
the end of each loop iteration.

The receive-side GARP attribute parser computes dlen with reversed
operands:

        dlen = sizeof(*ga) - ga->len;

ga->len is the on-wire attribute length and includes the GARP attribute
header. For normal attributes with data, ga->len is larger than
sizeof(*ga), so the subtraction underflows in unsigned arithmetic.

The resulting value is later passed to garp_attr_lookup(), whose length
argument is u8. After truncation, the parsed data length usually no
longer matches the length stored for locally registered attributes, so
received Join/Leave events are ignored. This breaks the GARP receive path
for common attributes, such as GVRP VLAN registration attributes.

Compute the data length as the attribute length minus the header length.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

HIPPI has not been relevant for over two decades. It was rapidly
eclipsed by Fibre Channel, and even when it was new, it was
confined to very high-end hardware. The HIPPI code has only
received tree-wide changes and fixes by inspection in the entire
Git history. Remove HIPPI support and the rrunner HIPPI driver,
and move the former maintainer to the CREDITS file. Keep the
include/uapi/linux/if_hippi.h header because it is used by the TUN
code, and to avoid breaking userspace, however unlikely that may be.

p8022.c defines two external functions, register_8022_client()
and unregister_8022_client(), the last use of which was removed in
2018 by
commit 7a2e838d28cf ("staging: ipx: delete it from the tree")

Remove the p8022.c file, it's corresponding header, and glue
surrounding it.  There was one place the header was included in vlan.c
but it didn't use the functions it declared.

There was a comment in net/802/Makefile about checking
against net/core/Makefile, but that's at least 20 years old and
there's no sign of net/core/Makefile mentioning it.

802.2+LLC+SNAP frames received by napi_complete_done() with GRO and DSA
have skb->transport_header set two bytes short, or pointing 2 bytes
before network_header & skb->data. This was an issue as snap_rcv()
expected offset to point to SNAP header (OID:PID), causing packet to
be dropped.

A fix at llc_fixup_skb() (a024e377efed) resets transport_header for any
LLC consumers that may care about it, and stops SNAP packets from being
dropped, but doesn't fix the problem which is that LLC and SNAP should
not use transport_header offset.

Ths patch eliminates the use of transport_header offset for SNAP lookup
of OID:PID so that SNAP does not rely on the offset at all.
The offset is reset after pull for any SNAP packet consumers that may
(but shouldn't) use it.
