Pull sysctl updates from Joel Granados:

- Fix kernel-doc warnings by adjusting in file documentation

- Consolidate do_proc_* function into do_proc_vec

   Consolidate three slightly different implementations of applying a
   converter on all elements of a vector. Fixes to this function now
   propagate to the three types.

- Replace CONFIG_PROC_SYSCTL with CONFIG_SYSCTL (they were the same)
   and restrict cad_pid modifications to global root (GLOBAL_ROOT_UID)

* tag 'sysctl-7.03-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sysctl/sysctl:
  sysctl: remove CONFIG_PROC_SYSCTL, it just mirrors CONFIG_SYSCTL
  sysctl: move the "cad_pid" entry from pid_table[] to kern_reboot_table[]
  sysctl: repair some kernel-doc comments
  sysctl: add Returns: kernel-doc for all functions
  sysctl: Update API function documentation
  sysctl: Rename proc_doulongvec_minmax_conv to proc_doulongvec_conv
  sysctl: Group proc_handler declarations and document
  sysctl: Replace do_proc_do{int,ulong,uint}vec with do_proc_vec
  sysctl: Add negp parameter to douintvec converter functions
  sysctl: Move default converter assignment out of do_proc_dointvec

pipe: only enable the extra wake_up(rd_wait) for EPOLLET consumers

pipe_poll() unconditionally sets ->poll_usage on the first call, forcing
anon_pipe_write() to wake up readers on every write even if the pipe was
not empty.

The reason is that some legacy epoll(EPOLLET) users depend on historical
per-write wakeups, see commit 3a34b13a88ca ("pipe: make pipe writes always
wake up readers").

Test-case:

	#include <unistd.h>
	#include <sys/epoll.h>
	#include <assert.h>

	int main(void)
	{
		int pfd[2], efd;
		struct epoll_event evt = { .events = EPOLLIN | EPOLLET };

		pipe(pfd);
		efd = epoll_create1(0);
		epoll_ctl(efd, EPOLL_CTL_ADD, pfd[0], &evt);

		for (int i = 0; i < 2; ++i) {
			write(pfd[1], "", 1);
			assert(epoll_wait(efd, &evt, 1, 0) == 1);
		}

		return 0;
	}

it fails if WRITE_ONCE(poll_usage, true) is removed from pipe_poll().
However, without EPOLLET in .events, it does not need the extra wakeup
and succeeds even if write() is called only once before the main loop.

Currently io_uring without (unsupported) IORING_POLL_ADD_LEVEL always
sets EPOLLET, and in IORING_POLL_ADD_MULTI mode it depends on per-write
wakeups the same way:

	#include <unistd.h>
	#include <sys/mman.h>
	#include <sys/epoll.h>
	#include <sys/syscall.h>
	#include <linux/io_uring.h>
	#include <assert.h>

	int main(void)
	{
		struct io_uring_params p = {};
		int fd, pfd[2];

		pipe(pfd);

		fd = syscall(SYS_io_uring_setup, 2, &p);
		assert(fd >= 0);

		void *ring = mmap(0, p.cq_off.cqes + p.cq_entries * sizeof(struct io_uring_cqe),
				  PROT_READ | PROT_WRITE, MAP_SHARED, fd, IORING_OFF_SQ_RING);
		assert(ring != MAP_FAILED);
		*(unsigned *)(ring + p.sq_off.tail) = 1;

		struct io_uring_sqe *sqes = mmap(0, p.sq_entries * sizeof(*sqes),
				  PROT_READ | PROT_WRITE, MAP_SHARED, fd, IORING_OFF_SQES);
		assert(sqes != MAP_FAILED);
		sqes[0].opcode = IORING_OP_POLL_ADD;
		sqes[0].fd = pfd[0];
		sqes[0].len = IORING_POLL_ADD_MULTI;
		sqes[0].poll32_events = EPOLLIN;

		syscall(SYS_io_uring_enter, fd, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0);

		unsigned *cq_head = ring + p.cq_off.head;
		unsigned *cq_tail = ring + p.cq_off.tail;
		for (int i = 0; i < 2; ++i) {
			write(pfd[1], "", 1);
			syscall(SYS_io_uring_enter, fd, 0, 0, IORING_ENTER_GETEVENTS, 0, 0);
			assert(*cq_tail == ++*cq_head);
		}

		return 0;
	}

the 2nd assert() in the main loop fails without ->poll_usage == true.

Rename ->poll_usage to ->pseudo_edgetrigger to make the purpose clearer,
update the comments, and change pipe_poll() to set ->pseudo_edgetrigger
only if wait->_key & EPOLLET is true. This check should catch both users,
and this way poll/select and epoll without EPOLLET users will not pay for
the extra wakeup.

Updates all douintvec converter function signatures to include a bool
*negp parameter. This is a preparation commit required to eventually run
all converters under the same function. The negp argument will be
ignored as it is not relevant for the uint type. Note that
do_proc_uint_conv_pipe_maxsz in pipe.c is also modified.

fs/pipe: unify the page pools into a single per-pipe pool

Pipes keep two separate page caches:
a) The per-pipe, lock-protected tmp_page[2]
b) An on-stack anon_pipe_prealloc burst pool of up to eight pages
    filled before the lock

Converge them into a single per-pipe pool (struct anon_pipe_prealloc
embedded in pipe_inode_info) with the same budget as before: up to
PIPE_PREALLOC_MAX (8) pages, trimmed back to PIPE_PREALLOC_KEEP (2)
after each operation. tmp_page[2] is removed.

Pages are still allocated and freed outside pipe->mutex; only the
assignment into the pool is done under it. The pool count is also read
locklessly in the prefill path, so it is annotated __data_racy.

anon_pipe_prefill_and_lock() tops the pool up to the write's page count
-- and returns with pipe->mutex held, so a write acquires the lock only
once.

anon_pipe_trim_and_unlock() trims the pool under that same lock before
dropping it, then frees the excess.

anon_pipe_write() takes pipe->mutex (aka "mutex protecting the whole
thing") and then, from the per-iteration anon_pipe_get_page() helper,
used to call alloc_page(GFP_HIGHUSER | __GFP_ACCOUNT) once per page
while still holding it.

That allocation can sleep doing direct reclaim and/or runs memcg
charging, which extends the critical section and stalls a concurrent
reader on the very same mutex.

Just pre-alloc the required pages before the lock in an array and just pop
them inside the lock.

This can improve the pipe throughput up to 48% and reduce the
latency in 33%, easily seen when there is memory pressure and direct
reclaim.

Both GNU and BSD makes share a "token pipe" between their instances, as
a result a -j $BIGNUM invocation results in multicore perf problems in
the poll handler.

Avoiding the store will reduce it a little bit. However, the crux of the
problem is the locked queuing up in poll_wait().

On 32-bit architectures, unsigned long is only 32 bits wide, which
causes 64-bit inode numbers to be silently truncated. Several
filesystems (NFS, XFS, BTRFS, etc.) can generate inode numbers that
exceed 32 bits, and this truncation can lead to inode number collisions
and other subtle bugs on 32-bit systems.

Change the type of inode->i_ino from unsigned long to u64 to ensure that
inode numbers are always represented as 64-bit values regardless of
architecture. Update all format specifiers treewide from %lu/%lx to
%llu/%llx to match the new type, along with corresponding local variable
types.

This is the bulk treewide conversion. Earlier patches in this series
handled trace events separately to allow trace field reordering for
better struct packing on 32-bit.

treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Replace the SYSCTL_USER_TO_KERN_UINT_CONV and SYSCTL_UINT_CONV_CUSTOM
macros with functions with the same logic. This makes debugging easier
and aligns with the functions preference described in coding-style.rst.
Update the only user of this API: pipe.c.

Pull sysctl updates from Joel Granados:

- Move jiffies converters out of kernel/sysctl.c

   Move the jiffies converters into kernel/time/jiffies.c and replace
   the pipe-max-size proc_handler converter with a macro based version.
   This is all part of the effort to relocate non-sysctl logic out of
   kernel/sysctl.c into more relevant subsystems. No functional changes.

- Generalize proc handler converter creation

   Remove duplicated sysctl converter logic by consolidating it in
   macros. These are used inside sysctl core as well as in pipe.c and
   jiffies.c. Converter kernel and user space pointer args are now
   automatically const qualified for the convenience of the caller. No
   functional changes.

- Miscellaneous

   Fix kernel-doc format warnings, remove unnecessary __user
   qualifiers, and move the nmi_watchdog sysctl into .rodata.

- Testing

   This series was run through sysctl selftests/kunit test suite in
   x86_64. It went into linux-next after rc2, giving it a good 4/5 weeks
   of testing.
