[ Upstream commit b95181f3929ff98949fa9460ca93eccebbf2d7fc ]
The variable-sized buffer buf in struct btrfs_ioctl_search_args_v2 is
declared as __u64[], but it holds a packed byte stream of search results,
where all offsets into the buffer are in bytes.
Declaring buf as __u64[] makes it easy for user space to write incorrect
pointer arithmetic: adding a byte offset directly to a __u64 pointer
scales the offset by 8, landing at byte position offset*8 instead of
offset.
This recently caused an infinite loop in btrfs-progs: the accessor read
all-zero data from misaddressed items, which fed zeroed search keys back
into the ioctl loop and spun forever. The issue was worked around at the
time by disabling TREE_SEARCH_V2 entirely in btrfs-progs (d73e69824854:
"btrfs-progs: temporarily disable usage of v2 of search tree ioctl").
The kernel side already treats buf as a byte buffer, so change the
declaration to __u8[] to match the actual semantics and prevent similar
misuse in user space. The change is ABI compatible: both the structure size
and alignment are unchanged.

[ Upstream commit 32b0b8953343eaceaa816a9ead3b6bb66355c64e ]
When an 802.3ad (LACP) bonding interface has no slaves in the
collecting/distributing state, the bonding master still reports
carrier as up as long as at least 'min_links' slaves have carrier.
In this situation, only one slave is effectively used for TX/RX,
while traffic received on other slaves is dropped. Upper-layer
daemons therefore consider the interface operational, even though
traffic may be blackholed if the lack of LACP negotiation means
the partner is not ready to deal with traffic.
Introduce a configuration knob to control this behavior. It allows
the bonding master to assert carrier only when at least 'min_links'
slaves are in Collecting_Distributing state.
The default mode preserves the existing behavior. This patch only
introduces the knob; its behavior is implemented in the subsequent
commit.

As noted in the blamed commit, the AR8035 and other PHYs from this
family advertise the Extended Next Page support by default, which may be
understood by some partners as this PHY being multi-gig capable.
The fix is to disable XNP advertising, which is done by setting bit 12
of the Auto-Negotiation Advertisement Register (MII_ADVERTISE).
The blamed commit incorrectly uses MDIO_AN_CTRL1_XNP, which is bit 13 as per
802.3 : 45.2.7.1 AN control register (Register 7.0)
BIT 12 in MII_ADVERTISE is wrapped by ADVERTISE_RESV, used by some
drivers such as the aquantia one. 802.3 Clause 28 defines bit 12 as
Extended Next Page ability, at least in recent versions of the standard.
Let's add a define for it and use it in the at803x driver.

Commit 7deba791ad495ce1d7921683f4f7d1190fa210d1 upstream.
Incrementally consumed buffer rings are generally fully consumed, but
it's quite possible that the application has a minimum size it needs to
meet to avoid truncation. Currently that minimum limit is 1 byte, but
this should be a setting that is the hands of the application. For
recvmsg multishot, a prime use case for incrementally consumed buffers,
the application may get spurious -EFAULT returned at the end of an
incrementally consumed buffer, as less space is available than the
headers need.
Grab a u32 field in struct io_uring_buf_reg, which the application can
use to inform the kernel of the minimum size that should be available
in an incrementally consumed buffer. If less than that is available,
the current buffer is fully processed and the next one will be picked.

Commit 94dfc73e7cf4 ("treewide: uapi: Replace zero-length arrays with
flexible-array members") broke the userspace API for C++.
These structures ending in VLAs are typically a *header*, which can be
followed by an arbitrary number of entries. Userspace typically creates
a larger structure with some non-zero number of entries, for example in
QEMU's kvm_arch_get_supported_msr_feature():
struct {
struct kvm_msrs info;
struct kvm_msr_entry entries[1];
} msr_data = {};
While that works in C, it fails in C++ with an error like:
flexible array member 'kvm_msrs::entries' not at end of 'struct msr_data'
Fix this by using __DECLARE_FLEX_ARRAY() for the VLA, which uses [0]
for C++ compilation.

Remove KVM's internal pseudo-overlay of kvm_stats_desc, which subtly
aliases the flexible name[] in the uAPI definition with a fixed-size array
of the same name. The unusual embedded structure results in compiler
warnings due to -Wflex-array-member-not-at-end, and also necessitates an
extra level of dereferencing in KVM. To avoid the "overlay", define the
uAPI structure to have a fixed-size name when building for the kernel.
Opportunistically clean up the indentation for the stats macros, and
replace spaces with tabs.

Replace manual range and mask validations with netlink policy
annotations in ctnetlink code paths, so that the netlink core rejects
invalid values early and can generate extack errors.
- CTA_PROTOINFO_TCP_STATE: reject values > TCP_CONNTRACK_SYN_SENT2 at
policy level, removing the manual >= TCP_CONNTRACK_MAX check.
- CTA_PROTOINFO_TCP_WSCALE_ORIGINAL/REPLY: reject values > TCP_MAX_WSCALE
(14). The normal TCP option parsing path already clamps to this value,
but the ctnetlink path accepted 0-255, causing undefined behavior when
used as a u32 shift count.
- CTA_FILTER_ORIG_FLAGS/REPLY_FLAGS: use NLA_POLICY_MASK with
CTA_FILTER_F_ALL, removing the manual mask checks.
- CTA_EXPECT_FLAGS: use NLA_POLICY_MASK with NF_CT_EXPECT_MASK, adding
a new mask define grouping all valid expect flags.

if userspace source code tries to include the dma-buf.h file without

that NFSv2 defines NFSERR_INVAL. There is no such definition in either
RFC 1094 or https://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9629799/chap7.htm
NFS3ERR_INVAL is introduced in RFC 1813.
NFSD returns NFSERR_INVAL for PROC_GETACL, which has no
specification (yet).
However, nfsd_map_status() maps nfserr_symlink and nfserr_wrong_type
to nfserr_inval, which does not align with RFC 1094. This logic was
introduced only recently by commit 438f81e0e92a ("nfsd: move error

that we have no INVAL or SERVERFAULT status in NFSv2, probably the
only choice is NFSERR_IO.

commit 10d28cffb3f6ec7ad67f0a4cd32c2afa92909452 upstream.
The `COMEDI_RANGEINFO` ioctl does not work properly for subdevice
indices above 15. Currently, the only in-tree COMEDI drivers that
support more than 16 subdevices are the "8255" driver and the
"comedi_bond" driver. Making the ioctl work for subdevice indices up to
255 is achievable. It needs minor changes to the handling of the
`COMEDI_RANGEINFO` and `COMEDI_CHANINFO` ioctls that should be mostly
harmless to user-space, apart from making them less broken. Details
follow...
The `COMEDI_RANGEINFO` ioctl command gets the list of supported ranges
(usually with units of volts or milliamps) for a COMEDI subdevice or
channel. (Only some subdevices have per-channel range tables, indicated
by the `SDF_RANGETYPE` flag in the subdevice information.) It uses a
`range_type` value and a user-space pointer, both supplied by
user-space, but the `range_type` value should match what was obtained
using the `COMEDI_CHANINFO` ioctl (if the subdevice has per-channel
range tables) or `COMEDI_SUBDINFO` ioctl (if the subdevice uses a
single range table for all channels). Bits 15 to 0 of the `range_type`
value contain the length of the range table, which is the only part that
user-space should care about (so it can use a suitably sized buffer to
fetch the range table). Bits 23 to 16 store the channel index, which is
assumed to be no more than 255 if the subdevice has per-channel range
tables, and is set to 0 if the subdevice has a single range table. For
`range_type` values produced by the `COMEDI_SUBDINFO` ioctl, bits 31 to
24 contain the subdevice index, which is assumed to be no more than 255.
But for `range_type` values produced by the `COMEDI_CHANINFO` ioctl,
bits 27 to 24 contain the subdevice index, which is assumed to be no
more than 15, and bits 31 to 28 contain the COMEDI device's minor device
number for some unknown reason lost in the mists of time. The
`COMEDI_RANGEINFO` ioctl extract the length from bits 15 to 0 of the
user-supplied `range_type` value, extracts the channel index from bits
23 to 16 (only used if the subdevice has per-channel range tables),
extracts the subdevice index from bits 27 to 24, and ignores bits 31 to
28. So for subdevice indices 16 to 255, the `COMEDI_SUBDINFO` or
`COMEDI_CHANINFO` ioctl will report a `range_type` value that doesn't
work with the `COMEDI_RANGEINFO` ioctl. It will either get the range
table for the subdevice index modulo 16, or will fail with `-EINVAL`.
To fix this, always use bits 31 to 24 of the `range_type` value to hold
the subdevice index (assumed to be no more than 255). This affects the
`COMEDI_CHANINFO` and `COMEDI_RANGEINFO` ioctls. There should not be
anything in user-space that depends on the old, broken usage, although
it may now see different values in bits 31 to 28 of the `range_type`
values reported by the `COMEDI_CHANINFO` ioctl for subdevices that have
per-channel subdevices. User-space should not be trying to decode bits
31 to 16 of the `range_type` values anyway.

commit cd16edba1c6a24af138e1a5ded2711231fffa99f upstream.
The padding at the end of struct ext4_tune_sb_params is architecture
specific and in particular is different between x86-32 and x86-64,
since the __u64 member only enforces struct alignment on the latter.
This shows up as a new warning when test-building the headers with
-Wpadded:
include/linux/ext4.h:144:1: error: padding struct size to alignment boundary with 4 bytes [-Werror=padded]
All members inside the structure are naturally aligned, so the only
difference here is the amount of padding at the end. Make the padding
explicit, to have a consistent sizeof(struct ext4_tune_sb_params) of
232 on all architectures and avoid adding compat ioctl handling for
EXT4_IOC_GET_TUNE_SB_PARAM/EXT4_IOC_SET_TUNE_SB_PARAM.
This is an ABI break on x86-32 but hopefully this can go into 6.18.y early
enough as a fixup so no actual users will be affected. Alternatively, the
kernel could handle the ioctl commands for both sizes (232 and 228 bytes)
on all architectures.

commit c6c209ceb87f64a6ceebe61761951dcbbf4a0baa upstream.
I haven't found an NFSERR_EAGAIN in RFCs 1094, 1813, 7530, or 8881.
None of these RFCs have an NFS status code that match the numeric
value "11".
Based on the meaning of the EAGAIN errno, I presume the use of this
status in NFSD means NFS4ERR_DELAY. So replace the one usage of
nfserr_eagain, and remove it from NFSD's NFS status conversion
tables.
As far as I can tell, NFSERR_EAGAIN has existed since the pre-git
era, but was not actually used by any code until commit f4e44b393389
("NFSD: delay unmount source's export after inter-server copy
completed."), at which time it become possible for NFSD to return
a status code of 11 (which is not valid NFS protocol).

commit 0ace3297a7301911e52d8195cb1006414897c859 upstream.
Before this patch, the kernel was saving any flags set by the userspace,
even unknown ones. This doesn't cause critical issues because the kernel
is only looking at specific ones. But on the other hand, endpoints dumps
could tell the userspace some recent flags seem to be supported on older
kernel versions.
Instead, ignore all unknown flags when parsing them. By doing that, the
userspace can continue to set unsupported flags, but it has a way to
verify what is supported by the kernel.
Note that it sounds better to continue accepting unsupported flags not
to change the behaviour, but also that eases things on the userspace
side by adding "optional" endpoint types only supported by newer kernel
versions without having to deal with the different kernel versions.
A note for the backports: there will be conflicts in mptcp.h on older
versions not having the mentioned flags, the new line should still be
added last, and the '5' needs to be adapted to have the same value as
the last entry.

And expand it to encompass all pressure pads.
Definition: "pressure pad" as used here as includes all touchpads that
use physical pressure to convert to click, without physical hinges. Also
called haptic touchpads in general parlance, Synaptics calls them
ForcePads.
Most (all?) pressure pads are currently advertised as
INPUT_PROP_BUTTONPAD. The suggestion to identify them as pressure pads
by defining the resolution on ABS_MT_PRESSURE has been in the docs since
commit 20ccc8dd38a3 ("Documentation: input: define
ABS_PRESSURE/ABS_MT_PRESSURE resolution as grams") but few devices
provide this information.
In userspace it's thus impossible to determine whether a device is a
true pressure pad (pressure equals pressure) or a normal clickpad with
(pressure equals finger size).
Commit 7075ae4ac9db ("Input: add INPUT_PROP_HAPTIC_TOUCHPAD") introduces
INPUT_PROP_HAPTIC_TOUCHPAD but restricted it to those touchpads that
have support for userspace-controlled effects. Let's expand and rename
that definition to include all pressure pad touchpads since those that
do support FF effects can be identified by the presence of the
FF_HAPTIC bit.
This means:
- clickpad: INPUT_PROP_BUTTONPAD
- pressurepad: INPUT_PROP_BUTTONPAD + INPUT_PROP_PRESSUREPAD
- pressurepad with configurable haptics:
INPUT_PROP_BUTTONPAD + INPUT_PROP_PRESSUREPAD + FF_HAPTIC

grab_requested_mnt_ns was changed to return error codes on failure, but
its callers were not updated to check for error pointers, still checking
only for a NULL return value.
This commit updates the callers to use IS_ERR() or IS_ERR_OR_NULL() and
PTR_ERR() to correctly check for and propagate errors.
This also makes sure that the logic actually works and mount namespace
file descriptors can be used to refere to mounts.

Changing alignment of header would mean it's no longer safe to cast a
2 byte aligned pointer between formats. Use two 16 bit fields to make
it 2 byte aligned as previously.
This fixes the performance regression since
commit ("virtio_net: enable gso over UDP tunnel support.") as it uses
virtio_net_hdr_v1_hash_tunnel which embeds
virtio_net_hdr_v1_hash. Pktgen in guest + XDP_DROP on TAP + vhost_net
shows the TX PPS is recovered from 2.4Mpps to 4.45Mpps.

Add keycodes for hotkeys toggling the electronic privacy screen found on
some laptops on/off.
There already is an API for eprivacy screens as kernel-mode-setting drm
connector object properties:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/gpu/drm-kms.html#standard-connector-properties
this API also supports reporting when the eprivacy screen is turned on/off
by the embedded-controller (EC) in response to hotkey presses.
But on some laptops (e.g. the Dell Latitude 7300) the firmware does not
allow querying the presence nor the status of the eprivacy screen at boot.
This makes it impossible to implement the drm connector properties API
since drm objects do not allow adding new properties after creation and
the presence of the eprivacy cannot be detected at boot.
The first notice of the presence of an eprivacy screen on these laptops is
an EC generated (WMI) event when the eprivacy screen hotkeys are pressed.
In this case the new keycodes this change adds can be generated to notify
userspace of the eprivacy screen on/off hotkeys being pressed, so that
userspace can show the usual on-screen-display (OSD) notification for eprivacy
screen on/off to the user. This is similar to how e.g. touchpad on/off
keycodes are used to show the touchpad on/off OSD.

KVM x86 fixes for 6.18:
- Expand the KVM_PRE_FAULT_MEMORY selftest to add a regression test for the
bug fixed by commit 3ccbf6f47098 ("KVM: x86/mmu: Return -EAGAIN if userspace
deletes/moves memslot during prefault")
- Don't try to get PMU capabbilities from perf when running a CPU with hybrid
CPUs/PMUs, as perf will rightly WARN.
- Rework KVM_CAP_GUEST_MEMFD_MMAP (newly introduced in 6.18) into a more
generic KVM_CAP_GUEST_MEMFD_FLAGS
- Add a guest_memfd INIT_SHARED flag and require userspace to explicitly set
said flag to initialize memory as SHARED, irrespective of MMAP. The
behavior merged in 6.18 is that enabling mmap() implicitly initializes
memory as SHARED, which would result in an ABI collision for x86 CoCo VMs
as their memory is currently always initialized PRIVATE.
- Allow mmap() on guest_memfd for x86 CoCo VMs, i.e. on VMs with private
memory, to enable testing such setups, i.e. to hopefully flush out any
other lurking ABI issues before 6.18 is officially released.
- Add testcases to the guest_memfd selftest to cover guest_memfd without MMAP,
and host userspace accesses to mmap()'d private memory.

Add a guest_memfd flag to allow userspace to state that the underlying
memory should be configured to be initialized as shared, and reject user
page faults if the guest_memfd instance's memory isn't shared. Because
KVM doesn't yet support in-place private<=>shared conversions, all
guest_memfd memory effectively follows the initial state.
Alternatively, KVM could deduce the initial state based on MMAP, which for
all intents and purposes is what KVM currently does. However, implicitly
deriving the default state based on MMAP will result in a messy ABI when
support for in-place conversions is added.
For x86 CoCo VMs, which don't yet support MMAP, memory is currently private
by default (otherwise the memory would be unusable). If MMAP implies
memory is shared by default, then the default state for CoCo VMs will vary
based on MMAP, and from userspace's perspective, will change when in-place
conversion support is added. I.e. to maintain guest<=>host ABI, userspace
would need to immediately convert all memory from shared=>private, which
is both ugly and inefficient. The inefficiency could be avoided by adding
a flag to state that memory is _private_ by default, irrespective of MMAP,
but that would lead to an equally messy and hard to document ABI.
Bite the bullet and immediately add a flag to control the default state so
that the effective behavior is explicit and straightforward.

Rework the not-yet-released KVM_CAP_GUEST_MEMFD_MMAP into a more generic
KVM_CAP_GUEST_MEMFD_FLAGS capability so that adding new flags doesn't
require a new capability, and so that developers aren't tempted to bundle
multiple flags into a single capability.
Note, kvm_vm_ioctl_check_extension_generic() can only return a 32-bit
value, but that limitation can be easily circumvented by adding e.g.
KVM_CAP_GUEST_MEMFD_FLAGS2 in the unlikely event guest_memfd supports more
than 32 flags.
