commit 3a5465418f5fd970e86a86c7f4075be262682840 upstream.
The perf pending task work is never waited upon the matching event
release. In the case of a child event, released via free_event()
directly, this can potentially result in a leaked event, such as in the
following scenario that doesn't even require a weak IRQ work
implementation to trigger:
schedule()
prepare_task_switch()
=======> <NMI>
perf_event_overflow()
event->pending_sigtrap = ...
irq_work_queue(&event->pending_irq)
<======= </NMI>
perf_event_task_sched_out()
event_sched_out()
event->pending_sigtrap = 0;
atomic_long_inc_not_zero(&event->refcount)
task_work_add(&event->pending_task)
finish_lock_switch()
=======> <IRQ>
perf_pending_irq()
//do nothing, rely on pending task work
<======= </IRQ>
begin_new_exec()
perf_event_exit_task()
perf_event_exit_event()
// If is child event
free_event()
WARN(atomic_long_cmpxchg(&event->refcount, 1, 0) != 1)
// event is leaked
Similar scenarios can also happen with perf_event_remove_on_exec() or
simply against concurrent perf_event_release().
Fix this with synchonizing against the possibly remaining pending task
work while freeing the event, just like is done with remaining pending
IRQ work. This means that the pending task callback neither need nor
should hold a reference to the event, preventing it from ever beeing
freed.

commit b3bebe44306e23827397d0d774d206e3fa374041 upstream.
Outline and export free_reserved_page() because modules use it and it in
turn uses page_ext_{get|put} which should not be exported. The same
result could be obtained by outlining {get|put}_page_tag_ref() but that
would have higher performance impact as these functions are used in more
performance critical paths.

commit c2bc958b2b03e361f14df99983bc64a39a7323a3 upstream.
Test the vesa_attributes field in struct screen_info for compatibility
with VGA hardware. Vesafb currently tests bit 1 in screen_info's
capabilities field which indicates a 64-bit lfb address and is
unrelated to VGA compatibility.
Section 4.4 of the Vesa VBE 2.0 specifications defines that bit 5 in
the mode's attributes field signals VGA compatibility. The mode is
compatible with VGA hardware if the bit is clear. In that case, the
driver can access VGA state of the VBE's underlying hardware. The
vesafb driver uses this feature to program the color LUT in palette
modes. Without, colors might be incorrect.
The problem got introduced in commit 89ec4c238e7a ("[PATCH] vesafb: Fix
incorrect logo colors in x86_64"). It incorrectly stores the mode
attributes in the screen_info's capabilities field and updates vesafb
accordingly. Later, commit 5e8ddcbe8692 ("Video mode probing support for
the new x86 setup code") fixed the screen_info, but did not update vesafb.
Color output still tends to work, because bit 1 in capabilities is
usually 0.
Besides fixing the bug in vesafb, this commit introduces a helper that
reads the correct bit from screen_info.

commit e3a00a23781c1f2fcda98a7aecaac515558e7a35 upstream.
Instead of computing the number of descriptor blocks a transaction can
have each time we need it (which is currently when starting each
transaction but will become more frequent later) precompute the number
once during journal initialization together with maximum transaction
size. We perform the precomputation whenever journal feature set is
updated similarly as for computation of
journal->j_revoke_records_per_block.

commit 4aa99c71e42ad60178c1154ec24e3df9c684fb67 upstream.
There's no reason to have jbd2_journal_get_max_txn_bufs() public
function. Currently all users are internal and can use
journal->j_max_transaction_buffers instead. This saves some unnecessary
recomputations of the limit as a bonus which becomes important as this
function gets more complex in the following patch.

commit c37927a203fa283950f6045602b9f71328ad786c upstream.
The callers of request_irq() don't care about IRQF_ONESHOT because they
don't provide threaded handlers, but if they happen to share the IRQ with
the ACPI SCI, which has a threaded handler and sets IRQF_ONESHOT,
request_irq() will fail for them due to a flags mismatch.
Address this by making request_irq() add IRQF_COND_ONESHOT to the flags
passed to request_threaded_irq() for all of its callers.

commit 61df7b82820494368bd46071ca97e43a3dfc3b11 upstream.
The current security_inode_setxattr() and security_inode_removexattr()
hooks rely on individual LSMs to either call into the associated
capability hooks (cap_inode_setxattr() or cap_inode_removexattr()), or
return a magic value of 1 to indicate that the LSM layer itself should
perform the capability checks. Unfortunately, with the default return
value for these LSM hooks being 0, an individual LSM hook returning a
1 will cause the LSM hook processing to exit early, potentially
skipping a LSM. Thankfully, with the exception of the BPF LSM, none
of the LSMs which currently register inode xattr hooks should end up
returning a value of 1, and in the BPF LSM case, with the BPF LSM hooks
executing last there should be no real harm in stopping processing of
the LSM hooks. However, the reliance on the individual LSMs to either
call the capability hooks themselves, or signal the LSM with a return
value of 1, is fragile and relies on a specific set of LSMs being
enabled. This patch is an effort to resolve, or minimize, these
issues.
Before we discuss the solution, there are a few observations and
considerations that we need to take into account:
* BPF LSM registers an implementation for every LSM hook, and that
implementation simply returns the hook's default return value, a
0 in this case. We want to ensure that the default BPF LSM behavior
results in the capability checks being called.
* SELinux and Smack do not expect the traditional capability checks
to be applied to the xattrs that they "own".
* SELinux and Smack are currently written in such a way that the
xattr capability checks happen before any additional LSM specific
access control checks. SELinux does apply SELinux specific access
controls to all xattrs, even those not "owned" by SELinux.
* IMA and EVM also register xattr hooks but assume that the LSM layer
and specific LSMs have already authorized the basic xattr operation.
In order to ensure we perform the capability based access controls
before the individual LSM access controls, perform only one capability
access control check for each operation, and clarify the logic around
applying the capability controls, we need a mechanism to determine if
any of the enabled LSMs "own" a particular xattr and want to take
responsibility for controlling access to that xattr. The solution in
this patch is to create a new LSM hook, 'inode_xattr_skipcap', that is
not exported to the rest of the kernel via a security_XXX() function,
but is used by the LSM layer to determine if a LSM wants to control
access to a given xattr and avoid the traditional capability controls.
Registering an inode_xattr_skipcap hook is optional, if a LSM declines
to register an implementation, or uses an implementation that simply
returns the default value (0), there is no effect as the LSM continues
to enforce the capability based controls (unless another LSM takes
ownership of the xattr). If none of the LSMs signal that the
capability checks should be skipped, the capability check is performed
and if access is granted the individual LSM xattr access control hooks
are executed, keeping with the DAC-before-LSM convention.

commit 00e3913b0416fe69d28745c0a2a340e2f76c219c upstream.
This reverts commit d3155742db89df3b3c96da383c400e6ff4d23c25.
The header_length field is byte unit, thus it can not express the number of
elements in header field. It seems that the argument for counted_by
attribute can have no arithmetic expression, therefore this commit just
reverts the issued commit.

commit d659b715e94ac039803d7601505d3473393fc0be upstream.
xarray can't support arbitrary page cache size. the largest and supported
page cache size is defined as MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER by commit 099d90642a71
("mm/filemap: make MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER acceptable to xarray"). However,
it's possible to have 512MB page cache in the huge memory's collapsing

breaking the limitation and a warning is raised when the xarray entry is

[ Upstream commit 72d04bdcf3f7d7e07d82f9757946f68802a7270a ]
Configuration for sbq:
depth=64, wake_batch=6, shift=6, map_nr=1
1. There are 64 requests in progress:
map->word = 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
2. After all the 64 requests complete, and no more requests come:
map->word = 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF, map->cleared = 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
3. Now two tasks try to allocate requests:
T1: T2:
__blk_mq_get_tag .
__sbitmap_queue_get .
sbitmap_get .
sbitmap_find_bit .
sbitmap_find_bit_in_word .
__sbitmap_get_word -> nr=-1 __blk_mq_get_tag
sbitmap_deferred_clear __sbitmap_queue_get
/* map->cleared=0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF */ sbitmap_find_bit
if (!READ_ONCE(map->cleared)) sbitmap_find_bit_in_word
return false; __sbitmap_get_word -> nr=-1
mask = xchg(&map->cleared, 0) sbitmap_deferred_clear
atomic_long_andnot() /* map->cleared=0 */
if (!(map->cleared))
return false;
/*
* map->cleared is cleared by T1
* T2 fail to acquire the tag
*/
4. T2 is the sole tag waiter. When T1 puts the tag, T2 cannot be woken
up due to the wake_batch being set at 6. If no more requests come, T1
will wait here indefinitely.
This patch achieves two purposes:
1. Check on ->cleared and update on both ->cleared and ->word need to
be done atomically, and using spinlock could be the simplest solution.
2. Add extra check in sbitmap_deferred_clear(), to identify whether
->word has free bits.

pgalloc_tag_sub() might call page_ext_put() using a page different from
the one used in page_ext_get() call. This does not pose an issue since
page_ext_put() ignores this parameter as long as it's non-NULL but
technically this is wrong. Fix it by storing the original page used in
page_ext_get() and passing it to page_ext_put().

1. After the skb_segment function the buffer may become non-linear
(nr_frags != 0), but since the SKBTX_SHARED_FRAG flag is not set anywhere
the __skb_linearize function will not be executed, then the buffer will
remain non-linear. Then the condition (offset >= skb_headlen(skb))
becomes true, which causes WARN_ON_ONCE in skb_checksum_help.

[ Upstream commit 0c5275bf75ec3708d95654195ae4ed80d946d088 ]
When creating a QP, one of the attributes is TS format (timestamp).
In some devices, we have a limitation that all QPs should have the same
ts_format. The ts_format is chosen based on the device's capability.
The qp_ts_format cap resides under the RoCE caps table, and the
cap will be 0 when RoCE is disabled. So when RoCE is disabled, the
value that should be queried is sq_ts_format under HCA caps.
Consider the case when the system supports REAL_TIME_TS format (0x2),
some QPs are created with REAL_TIME_TS as ts_format, and afterwards
RoCE gets disabled. When trying to construct a new QP, we can't use
the qp_ts_format, that is queried from the RoCE caps table, Since it
leads to passing 0x0 (FREE_RUNNING_TS) as the value of the qp_ts_format,
which is different than the ts_format of the previously allocated
QPs REAL_TIME_TS format (0x2).
Thus, to resolve this, read the sq_ts_format, which also reflect
the supported ts format for the QP when RoCE is disabled.

One way to fix it is by forcing `attach_prog_fd` non-empty when
bpf_prog_load(). But this will lead to `libbpf_probe_bpf_prog_type`
API broken which use verifier log to probe prog type and will log
nothing if we reject invalid EXT prog before bpf_check().
Another way is by adding null check in resolve_prog_type().
The issue was introduced by commit 4a9c7bbe2ed4 ("bpf: Resolve to
prog->aux->dst_prog->type only for BPF_PROG_TYPE_EXT") which wanted
to correct type resolution for BPF_PROG_TYPE_TRACING programs. Before
that, the type resolution of BPF_PROG_TYPE_EXT prog actually follows
the logic below:
prog->aux->dst_prog ? prog->aux->dst_prog->type : prog->type;
It implies that when EXT program is not yet attached to `dst_prog`,
the prog type should be EXT itself. This code worked fine in the past.
So just keep using it.
Fix this by returning `prog->type` for BPF_PROG_TYPE_EXT if `dst_prog`
is not present in resolve_prog_type().

[ Upstream commit 97d833ceb27dc19f8777d63f90be4a27b5daeedf ]
ACLs in Spectrum-2 and newer ASICs can reside in the algorithmic TCAM
(A-TCAM) or in the ordinary circuit TCAM (C-TCAM). The former can
contain more ACLs (i.e., tc filters), but the number of masks in each
region (i.e., tc chain) is limited.
In order to mitigate the effects of the above limitation, the device
allows filters to share a single mask if their masks only differ in up
to 8 consecutive bits. For example, dst_ip/25 can be represented using
dst_ip/24 with a delta of 1 bit. The C-TCAM does not have a limit on the
number of masks being used (and therefore does not support mask
aggregation), but can contain a limited number of filters.
The driver uses the "objagg" library to perform the mask aggregation by
passing it objects that consist of the filter's mask and whether the
filter is to be inserted into the A-TCAM or the C-TCAM since filters in
different TCAMs cannot share a mask.
The set of created objects is dependent on the insertion order of the
filters and is not necessarily optimal. Therefore, the driver will
periodically ask the library to compute a more optimal set ("hints") by
looking at all the existing objects.
When the library asks the driver whether two objects can be aggregated
the driver only compares the provided masks and ignores the A-TCAM /
C-TCAM indication. This is the right thing to do since the goal is to
move as many filters as possible to the A-TCAM. The driver also forbids
two identical masks from being aggregated since this can only happen if
one was intentionally put in the C-TCAM to avoid a conflict in the
A-TCAM.
The above can result in the following set of hints:
H1: {mask X, A-TCAM} -> H2: {mask Y, A-TCAM} // X is Y + delta
H3: {mask Y, C-TCAM} -> H4: {mask Z, A-TCAM} // Y is Z + delta
After getting the hints from the library the driver will start migrating
filters from one region to another while consulting the computed hints
and instructing the device to perform a lookup in both regions during
the transition.
Assuming a filter with mask X is being migrated into the A-TCAM in the
new region, the hints lookup will return H1. Since H2 is the parent of
H1, the library will try to find the object associated with it and
create it if necessary in which case another hints lookup (recursive)
will be performed. This hints lookup for {mask Y, A-TCAM} will either
return H2 or H3 since the driver passes the library an object comparison
function that ignores the A-TCAM / C-TCAM indication.
This can eventually lead to nested objects which are not supported by
the library [1].
Fix by removing the object comparison function from both the driver and
the library as the driver was the only user. That way the lookup will
only return exact matches.
I do not have a reliable reproducer that can reproduce the issue in a
timely manner, but before the fix the issue would reproduce in several
minutes and with the fix it does not reproduce in over an hour.
Note that the current usefulness of the hints is limited because they
include the C-TCAM indication and represent aggregation that cannot
actually happen. This will be addressed in net-next.

[ Upstream commit c793a62823d1ce8f70d9cfc7803e3ea436277cda ]
Use preempt_model_preemptible() to detect a preemptible kernel when
deciding whether or not to reschedule in order to drop a contended
spinlock or rwlock. Because PREEMPT_DYNAMIC selects PREEMPTION, kernels
built with PREEMPT_DYNAMIC=y will yield contended locks even if the live
preemption model is "none" or "voluntary". In short, make kernels with
dynamically selected models behave the same as kernels with statically
selected models.
Somewhat counter-intuitively, NOT yielding a lock can provide better
latency for the relevant tasks/processes. E.g. KVM x86's mmu_lock, a
rwlock, is often contended between an invalidation event (takes mmu_lock
for write) and a vCPU servicing a guest page fault (takes mmu_lock for
read). For _some_ setups, letting the invalidation task complete even
if there is mmu_lock contention provides lower latency for *all* tasks,
i.e. the invalidation completes sooner *and* the vCPU services the guest
page fault sooner.
But even KVM's mmu_lock behavior isn't uniform, e.g. the "best" behavior
can vary depending on the host VMM, the guest workload, the number of
vCPUs, the number of pCPUs in the host, why there is lock contention, etc.
In other words, simply deleting the CONFIG_PREEMPTION guard (or doing the
opposite and removing contention yielding entirely) needs to come with a
big pile of data proving that changing the status quo is a net positive.
Opportunistically document this side effect of preempt=full, as yielding
contended spinlocks can have significant, user-visible impact.

originally, stack closures were only used synchronously, and with the
original implementation of closure_sync() the ref never hit 0; thus,
closure_put_after_sub() assumes that if the ref hits 0 it's on the debug
list, in debug mode.
that's no longer true with the current implementation of closure_sync,
so we need a new magic so closure_debug_destroy() doesn't pop an assert.

WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: alloc_tag_restore+0x3c (section: .text.unlikely) -> initcall_level_names (section: .init.data)
The warnings happen when these functions are called from an __init

the value returned by get_current() points into .init.data section.
Assuming get_current() always returns a valid address, this situation can
happen only during init stage and accessing .init.data from .text section
during that stage should pose no issues.

Adding spi_optimize_message() broke the spi-mux driver because it
calls spi_async() from it's transfer_one_message() callback. This
resulted in passing an incorrectly optimized message to the controller.
For example, if the underlying controller has an optimize_message()
callback, this would have not been called and can cause a crash when
the underlying controller driver tries to transfer the message.
Also, since the spi-mux driver swaps out the controller pointer by
replacing msg->spi, __spi_unoptimize_message() was being called with a
different controller than the one used in __spi_optimize_message(). This
could cause a crash when attempting to free the message resources when
__spi_unoptimize_message() is called in spi_finalize_current_message()
since it is being called with a controller that did not allocate the
resources.
This is fixed by adding a defer_optimize_message flag for controllers.
This flag causes all of the spi_[maybe_][un]optimize_message() calls to
be a no-op (other than attaching a pointer to the spi device to the
message).
This allows the spi-mux driver to pass an unmodified message to
spi_async() in spi_mux_transfer_one_message() after the spi device has
been swapped out. This causes __spi_optimize_message() and
__spi_unoptimize_message() to be called only once per message and with
the correct/same controller in each case.

libaokun@huaweicloud.com <libaokun@huaweicloud.com> says:
This is the third version of this patch series, in which another patch set
is subsumed into this one to avoid confusing the two patch sets.
(https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/linux-fsdevel/list/?series=854914)
We've been testing ondemand mode for cachefiles since January, and we're
almost done. We hit a lot of issues during the testing period, and this
patch series fixes some of the issues. The patches have passed internal
testing without regression.
The following is a brief overview of the patches, see the patches for
more details.
Patch 1-2: Add fscache_try_get_volume() helper function to avoid
fscache_volume use-after-free on cache withdrawal.
Patch 3: Fix cachefiles_lookup_cookie() and cachefiles_withdraw_cache()
concurrency causing cachefiles_volume use-after-free.
Patch 4: Propagate error codes returned by vfs_getxattr() to avoid
endless loops.
Patch 5-7: A read request waiting for reopen could be closed maliciously
before the reopen worker is executing or waiting to be scheduled. So
ondemand_object_worker() may be called after the info and object and even
the cache have been freed and trigger use-after-free. So use
cancel_work_sync() in cachefiles_ondemand_clean_object() to cancel the
reopen worker or wait for it to finish. Since it makes no sense to wait
for the daemon to complete the reopen request, to avoid this pointless
operation blocking cancel_work_sync(), Patch 1 avoids request generation
by the DROPPING state when the request has not been sent, and Patch 2
flushes the requests of the current object before cancel_work_sync().
Patch 8: Cyclic allocation of msg_id to avoid msg_id reuse misleading
the daemon to cause hung.
Patch 9: Hold xas_lock during polling to avoid dereferencing reqs causing
use-after-free. This issue was triggered frequently in our tests, and we
found that anolis 5.10 had fixed it. So to avoid failing the test, this
patch is pushed upstream as well.

While investigating HVO for THPs [1], it turns out that speculative PFN
walkers like compaction can race with vmemmap modifications, e.g.,
CPU 1 (vmemmap modifier) CPU 2 (speculative PFN walker)
------------------------------- ------------------------------
Allocates an LRU folio page1
Sees page1
Frees page1
Allocates a hugeTLB folio page2
(page1 being a tail of page2)
Updates vmemmap mapping page1
get_page_unless_zero(page1)
Even though page1->_refcount is zero after HVO, get_page_unless_zero() can
still try to modify this read-only field, resulting in a crash.
An independent report [2] confirmed this race.
There are two discussed approaches to fix this race:
1. Make RO vmemmap RW so that get_page_unless_zero() can fail without
triggering a PF.
2. Use RCU to make sure get_page_unless_zero() either sees zero
page->_refcount through the old vmemmap or non-zero page->_refcount
through the new one.
The second approach is preferred here because:
1. It can prevent illegal modifications to struct page[] that has been
HVO'ed;
2. It can be generalized, in a way similar to ZERO_PAGE(), to fix
similar races in other places, e.g., arch_remove_memory() on x86
[3], which frees vmemmap mapping offlined struct page[].
While adding synchronize_rcu(), the goal is to be surgical, rather than
optimized. Specifically, calls to synchronize_rcu() on the error handling
paths can be coalesced, but it is not done for the sake of Simplicity:
noticeably, this fix removes ~50% more lines than it adds.
According to the hugetlb_optimize_vmemmap section in
Documentation/admin-guide/sysctl/vm.rst, enabling HVO makes allocating or
freeing hugeTLB pages "~2x slower than before". Having synchronize_rcu()
on top makes those operations even worse, and this also affects the user
interface /proc/sys/vm/nr_overcommit_hugepages.
This is *very* hard to trigger:
1. Most hugeTLB use cases I know of are static, i.e., reserved at
boot time, because allocating at runtime is not reliable at all.
2. On top of that, someone has to be very unlucky to get tripped
over above, because the race window is so small -- I wasn't able to
trigger it with a stress testing that does nothing but that (with
THPs though).

Move the stat flushing step to before the RCU read section of cachestat,

Patch series "mm/filemap: Limit page cache size to that supported by
xarray", v2.
Currently, xarray can't support arbitrary page cache size. More details
can be found from the WARN_ON() statement in xas_split_alloc(). In our
test whose code is attached below, we hit the WARN_ON() on ARM64 system
where the base page size is 64KB and huge page size is 512MB. The issue
was reported long time ago and some discussions on it can be found here
[1].
[1] https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-xfs/msg75404.html
In order to fix the issue, we need to adjust MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER to one
supported by xarray and avoid PMD-sized page cache if needed. The code
changes are suggested by David Hildenbrand.
PATCH[1] adjusts MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER to that supported by xarray
PATCH[2-3] avoids PMD-sized page cache in the synchronous readahead path
PATCH[4] avoids PMD-sized page cache for shmem files if needed

This patch (of 4):
The largest page cache order can be HPAGE_PMD_ORDER (13) on ARM64 with
64KB base page size. The xarray entry with this order can't be split as
the following error messages indicate.

Fix it by decreasing MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER to the largest supported order
by xarray. For this specific case, MAX_PAGECACHE_ORDER is dropped from
13 to 11 when CONFIG_BASE_SMALL is disabled.

Commit 5ec8e8ea8b77 ("mm/sparsemem: fix race in accessing
memory_section->usage") changed pfn_section_valid() to add a READ_ONCE()
call around "ms->usage" to fix a race with section_deactivate() where
ms->usage can be cleared. The READ_ONCE() call, by itself, is not enough
to prevent NULL pointer dereference. We need to check its value before
dereferencing it.

folio_ref_try_add_rcu() for non-SMP kernel.
The process_vm_readv() calls GUP to pin the THP. An optimization for
pinning THP instroduced by commit 57edfcfd3419 ("mm/gup: accelerate thp
gup even for "pages != NULL"") calls try_grab_folio() to pin the THP,
but try_grab_folio() is supposed to be called in atomic context for
non-SMP kernel, for example, irq disabled or preemption disabled, due to
the optimization introduced by commit e286781d5f2e ("mm: speculative
page references").
The commit efa7df3e3bb5 ("mm: align larger anonymous mappings on THP
boundaries") is not actually the root cause although it was bisected to.
It just makes the problem exposed more likely.
The follow up discussion suggested the optimization for non-SMP kernel
may be out-dated and not worth it anymore [1]. So removing the
optimization to silence the BUG.
However calling try_grab_folio() in GUP slow path actually is
unnecessary, so the following patch will clean this up.

Pull vfs fixes from Christian Brauner:
"Misc:
- Don't misleadingly warn during filesystem thaw operations.
It's possible that a block device which was frozen before it was
mounted can cause a failing thaw operation if someone concurrently
tried to mount it while that thaw operation was issued and the
device had already been temporarily claimed for the mount (The
mount will of course be aborted because the device is frozen).
netfs:
- Fix io_uring based write-through. Make sure that the total request
length is correctly set.
- Fix partial writes to folio tail.
- Remove some xarray helpers that were intended for bounce buffers
which got defered to a later patch series.
- Make netfs_page_mkwrite() whether folio->mapping is vallid after
acquiring the folio lock.
- Make netfs_page_mkrite() flush conflicting data instead of waiting.
fsnotify:
- Ensure that fsnotify creation events are generated before fsnotify
open events when a file is created via ->atomic_open(). The
ordering was broken before.
- Ensure that no fsnotify events are generated for O_PATH file
descriptors. While no fsnotify open events were generated, fsnotify
close events were. Make it consistent and don't produce any"

My earlier fix missed an incorrect function prototype that shows up on
native 32-bit builds:
In file included from fs/notify/fanotify/fanotify_user.c:14:
include/linux/syscalls.h:248:25: error: conflicting types for 'sys_fanotify_mark'; have 'long int(int, unsigned int, u32, u32, int, const char *)' {aka 'long int(int, unsigned int, unsigned int, unsigned int, int, const char *)'}
1924 | SYSCALL32_DEFINE6(fanotify_mark,
| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
include/linux/syscalls.h:862:17: note: previous declaration of 'sys_fanotify_mark' with type 'long int(int, unsigned int, u64, int, const char *)' {aka 'long int(int, unsigned int, long long unsigned int, int, const char *)'}
On x86 and powerpc, the prototype is also wrong but hidden in an #ifdef,
so it never caused problems.
Add another alternative declaration that matches the conditional function
definition.

- Add NOLPM quirk for for all Crucial BX SSD1 models.
Considering that we now have had bug reports for 3 different BX SSD1
variants from Crucial with the same product name, make the quirk more
inclusive, to catch more device models from the same generation.
- Fix a trivial NULL pointer dereference in the error path for
ata_host_release().
- Create a ata_port_free(), so that we don't miss freeing ata_port
struct members when freeing a struct ata_port.
- Fix a trivial double free in the error path for ata_host_alloc().
- Ensure that we remove the libata "remapped NVMe device count" sysfs

libsas is currently not freeing all the struct ata_port struct members,
e.g. ncq_sense_buf for a driver supporting Command Duration Limits (CDL).
Add a function, ata_port_free(), that is used to free a ata_port,
including its struct members. It makes sense to keep the code related to
freeing a ata_port in its own function, which will also free all the
struct members of struct ata_port.

Pull bcachefs fixes from Kent Overstreet:
"Simple stuff:
- NULL ptr/err ptr deref fixes
- fix for getting wedged on shutdown after journal error
- fix missing recalc_capacity() call, capacity now changes correctly
after a device goes read only
however: our capacity calculation still doesn't take into account
when we have mixed ro/rw devices and the ro devices have data on
them, that's going to be a more involved fix to separate accounting
for "capacity used on ro devices" and "capacity used on rw devices"
- boring syzbot stuff
Slightly more involved:
- discard, invalidate workers are now per device
this has the effect of simplifying how we take device refs in these
paths, and the device ref cleanup fixes a longstanding race between
the device removal path and the discard path
- fixes for how the debugfs code takes refs on btree_trans objects we
have debugfs code that prints in use btree_trans objects.
It uses closure_get() on trans->ref, which is mainly for the cycle
detector, but the debugfs code was using it on a closure that may
have hit 0, which is not allowed; for performance reasons we cannot
avoid having not-in-use transactions on the global list.
Introduce some new primitives to fix this and make the
synchronization here a whole lot saner"
