The protocol is used in a bit mask to determine if the protocol is
supported. Assert the provided protocol is less than the maximum
defined so it doesn't potentially perform a shift-out-of-bounds and
provide a clearer error for undefined protocols vs unsupported ones.

cb_context should be freed on the error path in nfc_se_io as stated by
commit 25ff6f8a5a3b ("nfc: fix memory leak of se_io context in
nfc_genl_se_io").

Make the error path in nfc_se_io unwind everything in reverse order, i.e.
free the cb_context after unlocking the device.

The callback context for sending/receiving APDUs to/from the selected
secure element is allocated inside nfc_genl_se_io and supposed to be
eventually freed in se_io_cb callback function. However, there are several
error paths where the bwi_timer is not charged to call se_io_cb later, and
the cb_context is leaked.

The patch proposes to free the cb_context explicitly on those error paths.

At the moment we can't simply check 'dev-&gt;ops-&gt;se_io()' return value as it
may be negative in both cases: when the timer was charged and was not.

Fix a use-after-free that occurs in kfree_skb() called from
local_cleanup(). This could happen when killing nfc daemon (e.g. neard)
after detaching an nfc device.
When detaching an nfc device, local_cleanup() called from
nfc_llcp_unregister_device() frees local-&gt;rx_pending and decreases
local-&gt;ref by kref_put() in nfc_llcp_local_put().
In the terminating process, nfc daemon releases all sockets and it leads
to decreasing local-&gt;ref. After the last release of local-&gt;ref,
local_cleanup() called from local_release() frees local-&gt;rx_pending
again, which leads to the bug.

Setting local-&gt;rx_pending to NULL in local_cleanup() could prevent
use-after-free when local_cleanup() is called twice.

Found by a modified version of syzkaller.

While running under CONFIG_FORTIFY_SOURCE=y, syzkaller reported:

  memcpy: detected field-spanning write (size 129) of single field "target-&gt;sensf_res" at net/nfc/nci/ntf.c:260 (size 18)

This appears to be a legitimate lack of bounds checking in
nci_add_new_protocol(). Add the missing checks.

Previously we leverage NCI_UNREG and the lock inside nci_close_device to
prevent the race condition between opening a device and closing a
device. However, it still has problem because a failed opening command
will erase the NCI_UNREG flag and allow another opening command to
bypass the status checking.

This fix corrects that by making sure the NCI_UNREG is held.

Commit 3e3b5dfcd16a ("NFC: reorder the logic in nfc_{un,}register_device")
assumes the device_is_registered() in function nfc_dev_up() will help
to check when the rfkill is unregistered. However, this check only
take effect when device_del(&amp;dev-&gt;dev) is done in nfc_unregister_device().
Hence, the rfkill object is still possible be dereferenced.

This patch just add the null out of dev-&gt;rfkill to make sure such
dereference cannot happen. This is safe since the device_lock() already
protect the check/write from data race.
