nested target/match_revfn() calls work with xt[NFPROTO_UNSPEC] lists
without taking xt[NFPROTO_UNSPEC].mutex. This can race with module unload
and cause host to crash:

When both --reap and --update flag are specified, there's a code
path at which the entry to be updated is reaped beforehand,
which then leads to kernel crash. Reap only entries which won't be
updated.

Otherwise, the newly create element shows no timeout when listing the
ruleset. If the set definition does not specify a default timeout, then
the set element only shows the expiration time, but not the timeout.
This is a problem when restoring a stateful ruleset listing since it
skips the timeout policy entirely.

This patch replaces htable_bits() by simple fls(hashsize - 1) call:
it alone returns valid nbits both for round and non-round hashsizes.
It is normal to set any nbits here because it is validated inside

The indexes to the nf_nat_l[34]protos arrays come from userspace. So
check the tuple's family, e.g. l3num, when creating the conntrack in
order to prevent an OOB memory access during setup.  Here is an example
kernel panic on 4.14.180 when userspace passes in an index greater than
NFPROTO_NUMPROTO.

The indexes to the nf_nat_l[34]protos arrays come from userspace. So
check the tuple's family, e.g. l3num, when creating the conntrack in
order to prevent an OOB memory access during setup.  Here is an example
kernel panic on 4.14.180 when userspace passes in an index greater than
NFPROTO_NUMPROTO.

This crash is not happening since 5.4+, however, ctnetlink still

Following bug was reported via irc:
nft list ruleset
   set knock_candidates_ipv4 {
      type ipv4_addr . inet_service
      size 65535
      elements = { 127.0.0.1 . 123,
                   127.0.0.1 . 123 }
      }
 ..
   udp dport 123 add @knock_candidates_ipv4 { ip saddr . 123 }
   udp dport 123 add @knock_candidates_ipv4 { ip saddr . udp dport }

It should not have been possible to add a duplicate set entry.

After some debugging it turned out that the problem is the immediate
value (123) in the second-to-last rule.

Concatenations use 32bit registers, i.e. the elements are 8 bytes each,
not 6 and it turns out the kernel inserted

inet firewall @knock_candidates_ipv4
        element 0100007f ffff7b00  : 0 [end]
        element 0100007f 00007b00  : 0 [end]

Note the non-zero upper bits of the first element.  It turns out that
nft_immediate doesn't zero the destination register, but this is needed
when the length isn't a multiple of 4.

Furthermore, the zeroing in nft_payload is broken.  We can't use
[len / 4] = 0 -- if len is a multiple of 4, index is off by one.

Skip zeroing in this case and use a conditional instead of (len -1) / 4.

Could you please push this patch into stable@?
it fixes memory corruption in kernels  v3.5 .. v4.10

Lost .data_len definition leads to write beyond end of
struct nf_ct_h323_master. Usually it corrupts following
struct nf_conn_nat, however if nat is not loaded it corrupts
following slab object.

In mainline this problem went away in v4.11,
after commit 9f0f3ebeda47 ("netfilter: helpers: remove data_len usage
for inkernel helpers") however many stable kernels are still affected.

When using ip_set with counters and comment, traffic causes the kernel
to panic on 32-bit ARM:

Alignment trap: not handling instruction e1b82f9f at [&lt;bf01b0dc&gt;]
Unhandled fault: alignment exception (0x221) at 0xea08133c
PC is at ip_set_match_extensions+0xe0/0x224 [ip_set]

The problem occurs when we try to update the 64-bit counters - the
faulting address above is not 64-bit aligned.  The problem occurs
due to the way elements are allocated, for example:

	set-&gt;dsize = ip_set_elem_len(set, tb, 0, 0);
	map = ip_set_alloc(sizeof(*map) + elements * set-&gt;dsize);

If the element has a requirement for a member to be 64-bit aligned,
and set-&gt;dsize is not a multiple of 8, but is a multiple of four,
then every odd numbered elements will be misaligned - and hitting
an atomic64_add() on that element will cause the kernel to panic.

ip_set_elem_len() must return a size that is rounded to the maximum
alignment of any extension field stored in the element.  This change
ensures that is the case.
