The polled grace-period state structure rcu_gp_oldstate holds a snapshot
of the normal (and, on SMP, expedited) grace-period sequence numbers.
Upcoming changes store this structure in the callback segment list, where
the "oldstate" name reads poorly: there it represents the grace period a
segment is waiting on and is also compared against the current
grace-period state.

Rename struct rcu_gp_oldstate to the more neutral struct rcu_gp_seq, and
shorten its members rgos_norm and rgos_exp to norm and exp.  Local
variables and parameters of this type are renamed from rgosp/rgos to
gsp/gs accordingly.

While at it, provide a single definition of the structure in rcupdate.h
rather than separate Tiny-RCU and Tree-RCU definitions, and give it the
-&gt;exp field unconditionally.  Tiny RCU does not track expedited grace
periods and leaves -&gt;exp unused, but a single definition that always has
-&gt;exp lets the shared callback code in rcu_segcblist.c reference it
without CONFIG_SMP guards, including on !SMP builds.

No functional change.

Switch for using of get_state_synchronize_rcu_full() and
poll_state_synchronize_rcu_full() pair to debug a normal
synchronize_rcu() call.

Just using "not" full APIs to identify if a grace period is
passed or not might lead to a false-positive kernel splat.

It can happen, because get_state_synchronize_rcu() compresses
both normal and expedited states into one single unsigned long
value, so a poll_state_synchronize_rcu() can miss GP-completion
when synchronize_rcu()/synchronize_rcu_expedited() concurrently
run.

To address this, switch to poll_state_synchronize_rcu_full() and
get_state_synchronize_rcu_full() APIs, which use separate variables
for expedited and normal states.

This commit checks to see if the RCU reader has been preempted within
its read-side critical section for RCU flavors supporting this notion
(currently only preemptible RCU).  If such a preemption occurred, then
this is printed at the end of the "Failure/close-call rcutorture reader

Currently, all waits for grace periods sleep at TASK_UNINTERRUPTIBLE,
regardless of RCU flavor.  This has worked well, but there have been
cases where a longer-than-average Tasks RCU grace period has triggered
softlockup splats, many of them, before the Tasks RCU CPU stall warning
appears.  These softlockup splats unnecessarily consume console bandwidth
and complicate diagnosis of the underlying problem.  Plus a long but not
pathologically long Tasks RCU grace period might trigger a few softlockup
splats before completing normally, which generates noise for no good
reason.

This commit therefore causes Tasks RCU grace periods to sleep at TASK_IDLE
priority.  If there really is a persistent problem, the eventual Tasks
RCU CPU stall warning will flag it, and without the extra noise.

Those who have worked with RCU for some time will naturally think in
terms of the long-standing call_rcu() API rather than the much newer
call_rcu_hurry() API.  But it is call_rcu_hurry() that you should normally
pass to synchronize_rcu_mult().  This commit therefore updates the header
comment to point this out.

With the advent and likely usage of synchronize_rcu_rude(), there is
again a need to wait on multiple types of RCU grace periods, for
example, call_rcu_tasks() and call_rcu_tasks_rude().  This commit
therefore reinstates synchronize_rcu_mult() in order to allow these
grace periods to be straightforwardly waited on concurrently.
