Move RT data validation checks from acpi_tad_set_real_time() to
a separate function called acpi_tad_rt_is_invalid() and use it
also in acpi_tad_get_real_time() to validate data coming from
the platform firmware.

Also make acpi_tad_set_real_time() return -EINVAL when the RT data
passed to it is invalid (instead of -ERANGE which is somewhat
confusing) and introduce ACPI_TAD_TZ_UNSPEC to represent the
"unspecified timezone" value.

<title>ACPI: x86/rtc-cmos: Use platform device for driver binding</title>

Modify the rtc-cmos driver to bind to a platform device on systems with
ACPI via acpi_match_table and advertise the CMOST RTC ACPI device IDs
for driver auto-loading.  Note that adding the requisite device IDs to
it and exposing them via MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() is sufficient for this
purpose.

Since the ACPI device IDs in question are the same as for the CMOS RTC
ACPI scan handler, put them into a common header file and use the
definition from there in both places.

Additionally, to prevent a PNP device from being created for the CMOS
RTC if a platform one is present already, make is_cmos_rtc_device()
check cmos_rtc_platform_device_present introduced previously.

Pull arm64 updates from Catalin Marinas:
 "A quick summary: perf support for Branch Record Buffer Extensions
  (BRBE), typical PMU hardware updates, small additions to MTE for
  store-only tag checking and exposing non-address bits to signal
  handlers, HAVE_LIVEPATCH enabled on arm64, VMAP_STACK forced on.

  There is also a TLBI optimisation on hardware that does not require
  break-before-make when changing the user PTEs between contiguous and
  non-contiguous.

  More details:

  Perf and PMU updates:

   - Add support for new (v3) Hisilicon SLLC and DDRC PMUs

   - Add support for Arm-NI PMU integrations that share interrupts
     between clock domains within a given instance

   - Allow SPE to be configured with a lower sample period than the
     minimum recommendation advertised by PMSIDR_EL1.Interval

   - Add suppport for Arm's "Branch Record Buffer Extension" (BRBE)

   - Adjust the perf watchdog period according to cpu frequency changes

<title>x86: Handle KCOV __init vs inline mismatches</title>

GCC appears to have kind of fragile inlining heuristics, in the
sense that it can change whether or not it inlines something based on
optimizations. It looks like the kcov instrumentation being added (or in
this case, removed) from a function changes the optimization results,
and some functions marked "inline" are _not_ inlined. In that case,
we end up with __init code calling a function not marked __init, and we
get the build warnings I'm trying to eliminate in the coming patch that
adds __no_sanitize_coverage to __init functions:

If CONFIG_ACPI_SPCR_TABLE is disabled, acpi_parse_spcr()
currently returns 0, which may incorrectly suggest that
SPCR parsing was successful. This patch changes the behavior
to return -ENODEV to clearly indicate that SPCR support
is not available.

This prepares the codebase for future changes that depend
on acpi_parse_spcr() failure detection, such as suppressing
misleading console messages.

If CONFIG_ACPI_SPCR_TABLE is disabled, acpi_parse_spcr()
currently returns 0, which may incorrectly suggest that
SPCR parsing was successful. This patch changes the behavior
to return -ENODEV to clearly indicate that SPCR support
is not available.

This prepares the codebase for future changes that depend
on acpi_parse_spcr() failure detection, such as suppressing
misleading console messages.

Merge an ACPI resources management update, ACPI power management
updates, an ACPI platform profile driver fix and an ACPI documentation
update related to device properties for 6.16-rc1:

 - Fix a typo for MECHREVO in irq1_edge_low_force_override[] (Mingcong
   Bai).

 - Add an LPS0 check() callback to the AMD pinctrl driver and fix up
   config symbol dependencies in it (Mario Limonciello, Rafael Wysocki).

 - Avoid initializing the ACPI platform profile driver on non-ACPI
   platforms (Alexandre Ghiti).

 - Document that references to ACPI data (non-device) nodes should use
   string-only references in hierarchical data node packages (Sakari
   Ailus).

<title>ACPI: MRRM: Fix default max memory region</title>

Per the spec, the default max memory region must be 1 covering
all system memory.

When platform does not provide ACPI MRRM table or
when CONFIG_ACPI is opted out, the acpi_mrrm_max_mem_region() function
defaults to  returning 1 region complying to RDT spec.
