commit a664bf3d603dc3bdcf9ae47cc21e0daec706d7a5 upstream.

This mostly reverts commit 72548b093ee3 except for the copying of
the associated data.

There is no benefit in operating in-place in algif_aead since the
source and destination come from different mappings. Get rid of
all the complexity added for in-place operation and just copy the
AD directly.

This backports the current implementation of memcpy_sglist() from
upstream commit 4dffc9bbffb9ccfcda730d899c97c553599e7ca8.

This function was rewritten twice. The earlier implementations had many
prerequisite commits, while the latest implementation is standalone.
It's much easier to just backport the latest code directly.

Loading a large (~2.1G) files with kexec crashes the host with when
running:

 ...

(Line numbers based on commit da274362a7bd9 ("Linux 6.12.49")

This started happening after commit f4da7afe07523f
("kexec_file: increase maximum file size to 4G") that landed in v6.0,
which increased the file size for kexec.

This is not happening upstream (v6.16+), given that `block` type was
upgraded from "int" to "size_t" in commit 74a43a2cf5e8 ("crypto:
lib/sha256 - Move partial block handling out")

Upgrade the block type similar to the commit above, avoiding hitting the
overflow.

This patch is only suitable for the stable tree, and before 6.16, which
got commit 74a43a2cf5e8 ("crypto: lib/sha256 - Move partial block
handling out"). This is not required before f4da7afe07523f ("kexec_file:
increase maximum file size to 4G"). In other words, this fix is required
between versions v6.0 and v6.16.

commit d0ca0df179c4b21e2a6c4a4fb637aa8fa14575cb upstream.

Commit 1b34cbbf4f01 ("crypto: af_alg - Disallow concurrent writes in
af_alg_sendmsg") changed some fields from bool to 1-bit bitfields of
type u32.

However, some assignments to these fields, specifically 'more' and
'merge', assign values greater than 1. These relied on C's implicit
conversion to bool, such that zero becomes false and nonzero becomes
true.

With a 1-bit bitfields of type u32 instead, mod 2 of the value is taken
instead, resulting in 0 being assigned in some cases when 1 was intended.

Fix this by restoring the bool type.

[ Upstream commit 1b34cbbf4f011a121ef7b2d7d6e6920a036d5285 ]

Issuing two writes to the same af_alg socket is bogus as the
data will be interleaved in an unpredictable fashion. Furthermore,
concurrent writes may create inconsistencies in the internal
socket state.

Disallow this by adding a new ctx->write field that indiciates
exclusive ownership for writing.

[ Upstream commit 3c44d31cb34ce4eb8311a2e73634d57702948230 ]

Algorithm registration is usually carried out during module init,
where as little work as possible should be carried out. The SIMD
code violated this rule by allocating a tfm, this then triggers a
full test of the algorithm which may dead-lock in certain cases.

SIMD is only allocating the tfm to get at the alg object, which is
in fact already available as it is what we are registering. Use
that directly and remove the crypto_alloc_tfm call.

Also remove some obsolete and unused SIMD API.

[ Upstream commit c35e03eaece71101ff6cbf776b86403860ac8cc3 ]

The crypto completion function currently takes a pointer to a
struct crypto_async_request object. However, in reality the API
does not allow the use of any part of the object apart from the
data field. For example, ahash/shash will create a fake object
on the stack to pass along a different data field.

This leads to potential bugs where the user may try to dereference
or otherwise use the crypto_async_request object.

This patch adds some temporary scaffolding so that the completion
function can take a void * instead. Once affected users have been
converted this can be removed.

The helper crypto_request_complete will remain even after the
conversion is complete. It should be used instead of calling
the completion function directly.
