In rtlgen_write_mmd(), the MDIO_AN_EEE_ADV case swaps the arguments to
rtlgen_write_vend2(): it passes the MMD register number as the OCP address
and the OCP address constant as the value. The caller's value is discarded
and the write lands on the wrong register, so the EEE advertisement cannot
be configured on the affected PHYs.

Mirror rtlgen_read_mmd() and write the value to RTL_MDIO_AN_EEE_ADV.

MTK_GPHY_LED_TX_BLINK_SET and MTK_2P5GPHY_LED_TX_BLINK_SET are built
from the RX blink bits instead of the TX ones, so both TX masks are
identical to their RX counterparts. The TX bits they should be using,
MTK_PHY_LED_BLINK_{10,100,1000,2500}TX, are otherwise only referenced
by the per-speed branch of mtk_phy_led_hw_ctrl_set().

A TX trigger selected without a link trigger therefore programs the RX
blink bits, and the LED blinks on received traffic. The masks are also
used to decode the blink register in mtk_phy_led_hw_ctrl_get(), which
as a result cannot tell the two triggers apart: an RX-only
configuration reads back as RX and TX, and a TX-only configuration
reads back as neither.

In phylink_create() if phylink_register_sfp() returns an error, link_gpio
obtained by phylink_parse_fixedlink() is never released. While this is a
very unlikely scenario, it's worth to fix/handle this.

This was present from the very first implementation of phylink but got
relevant only with the introduction of ce0aa27ff3f6 ("sfp: add sfp-bus to
bridge between network devices and sfp cages") where additional function
were added after phylink_parse_fixedlink() making the release of link_gpio
needed if such additional function errored out.

While at it, restructure the exit condition of phylink_create() with the
goto pattern to reduce code duplication on handling error conditions.

sfp_i2c_mdiobus_create() allocates the I2C MDIO bus with mdio_i2c_alloc(),
a plain (non-devm) allocation, and registers it. sfp_i2c_mdiobus_destroy()
only unregisters the bus and clears sfp-&gt;i2c_mii without calling
mdiobus_free(). As the only reference to the bus is then cleared, the
struct mii_bus is leaked.

This is hit whenever a copper/RollBall SFP module that instantiated an MDIO
bus is removed: sfp_sm_main() takes the global teardown path and calls
sfp_i2c_mdiobus_destroy(). sfp_cleanup(), on driver unbind, frees
sfp-&gt;i2c_mii directly, which is why the leak only triggered on module
hot-removal and not on unbind.

Free the bus in sfp_i2c_mdiobus_destroy() to match the allocation done in
sfp_i2c_mdiobus_create().

On RTL8127A connected to a link partner that advertises 10000baseT
speed cannot be changed to anything other than 10000baseT as 10GbE
is always advertised regardless of any setting. Fix this by
clearing MDIO_AN_10GBT_CTRL_ADV10G bit in rtl822x_config_aneg()'s
call to phy_modify_mmd_changed().

We don't have support for PHY-driver SFP cages with the genphy code.

On top of that, it was found by sashiko that running
sfp_bus_add_upstream() for genphy deadlocks, as for genphy the PHY
probing runs under RTNL, which isn't the case for non-genphy drivers.

This problem was reproduced, and does lead to a deadlock on RTNL.

Before the blamed commit, the phy_sfp_probe() call was made by
individual PHY drivers, so there was no way to get to the SFP probing
path when using genphy.

Let's therefore only run phy_sfp_probe when not using genphy.

phy_ports attached to a phy_device, as the SFP code may reference these
ports. Let's make sure we follow that ordering in phy_remove().

<title>net: phy: clean the sfp upstream if phy probing fails</title>

Sashiko reported that we don't call sfp_bus_del_upstream() in the probe
failure path, so let's add it, otherwise the sfp-bus is left with a
dangling 'upstream' field, that may be used later on during SFP events.

This issue existed before the generic phylib sfp support, back when
drivers were calling phy_sfp_probe themselves.
