commit a6b48699ae50ccce700506ced863ba1f5ce2af11 upstream.

As with ARM the ARMv8 architecture provides a cycle counter which can be
used to provide a high resolution time for the joystick driver and
silence the build warning that results from not having a precise timer
on ARMv8, making allmodconfig and allyesconfig quieter.

commit 6c8afa88adce613c23f27e719f805cc2a6441b07 upstream.

The patch "module: fix types of device tables aliases" newly requires
that invocations of

MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE(type, name);

come *after* the definition of `name'. That is reasonable, but gscps2
wasn't doing this. Fix it.

commit ec667683c532c93fb41e100e5d61a518971060e2 upstream.

Synaptics add new TP firmware ID: 0x2 and 0x3, for now both lower 2 bits
are indicated as TP. Change the constant to bitwise values.

This makes trackpoint to be recognized on Lenovo Carbon X1 Gen5 instead
of it being identified as "PS/2 Generic Mouse".

commit 879f2fea8a5a748bcbf98d2cdce9139c045505d3 upstream.

According to the touch controller spec, SPI return a 16 bit value, only 12
bits are valid, they are bit[14-3].

The value of MISO and MOSI can be configured when SPI is in idle mode.
Currently this touch driver assumes the SPI bus sets the MOSI and MISO in
low level when SPI bus is in idle mode. So the bit[15] of the value got
from SPI bus is always 0. But when SPI bus congfigures the MOSI and MISO in
high level during the SPI idle mode, the bit[15] of the value get from SPI
is always 1. If bit[15] is not masked, we may get the wrong value.

Mask the invalid bit to make sure the correct value gets returned.
Regardless of the SPI bus idle configuration.

commit 340d394a789518018f834ff70f7534fc463d3226 upstream.

The driver checks port->exists twice in i8042_interrupt(), first when
trying to assign temporary "serio" variable, and second time when deciding
whether it should call serio_interrupt(). The value of port->exists may
change between the 2 checks, and we may end up calling serio_interrupt()
with a NULL pointer:

To avoid the issue let's change the second check to test whether serio is
NULL or not.

Also, let's take i8042_lock in i8042_start() and i8042_stop() instead of
trying to be overly smart and using memory barriers.

commit 47eb0c8b4d9eb6368941c6a9bb443f00847a46d7 upstream.

The Lifebook E546 and E557 touchpad were also not functioning and
worked after running:

        echo "1" > /sys/devices/platform/i8042/serio2/crc_enabled

Add them to the list of machines that need this workaround.

commit 704de489e0e3640a2ee2d0daf173e9f7375582ba upstream.

Temporary got a Lifebook E547 into my hands and noticed the touchpad
only works after running:

	echo "1" > /sys/devices/platform/i8042/serio2/crc_enabled

Add it to the list of machines that need this workaround.
