During probe, return the "get_irq" error value instead of -EINVAL which
allows the driver to be deferred probed if needed.
Fix also the case where of_irq_get() returns a negative value.
Note :
On failure of_irq_get() returns 0 or a negative value while
platform_get_irq() returns a negative value.

[ Upstream commit a0cac264a86fbf4d6cb201fbbb73c1d335e3248a ]

The devm_gpiod_request_gpiod() call will add "-gpios" to
any passed connection ID before looking it up.

I do not think the reset GPIO on this platform is named
"reset-gpios-gpios" but rather "reset-gpios" in the device
tree, so fix this up so that we get a proper reset GPIO
handle.

Also drop the inclusion of the legacy GPIO header.

The Acorn i2c driver (for RiscPC) triggers the "i2c adapter has no name"

commit 49b809586730a77b57ce620b2f9689de765d790b upstream.

This driver does not support reading more than 255 bytes at once because
the register for storing the number of bytes to read is only 8 bits. Add
a max_read_len quirk to enforce this.

This was found when using this driver with the SFP driver, which was
previously reading all 256 bytes in the SFP EEPROM in one transaction.
This caused a bunch of hard-to-debug errors in the xiic driver since the
driver/logic was treating the number of bytes to read as zero.
Rejecting transactions that aren't supported at least allows the problem
to be diagnosed more easily.

commit 13067ef73f337336e3149f5bb9f3fd05fe7f87a0 upstream.

Fix wrong order in probing routine initialization - field `base_addr'
is used before it's initialized. Move assignment of 'priv->base_addr`
to the beginning, prior the call to mlxcpld_i2c_read_comm().
Wrong order caused the first read of capability register to be executed
at wrong offset 0x0 instead of 0x2000. By chance it was a "good
garbage" at 0x0 offset.

commit 72bfcee11cf89509795c56b0e40a3785ab00bbdd upstream.

Multiple users have reported their Synaptics touchpad has stopped
working between v4.20.1 and v4.20.2 when using SMBus interface.

The culprit for this appeared to be commit c5eb1190074c ("PCI / PM: Allow
runtime PM without callback functions") that fixed the runtime PM for
i2c-i801 SMBus adapter. Those Synaptics touchpad are using i2c-i801
for SMBus communication and testing showed they are able to get back
working by preventing the runtime suspend of adapter.

Normally when i2c-i801 SMBus adapter transmits with the client it resumes
before operation and autosuspends after.

However, if client requires SMBus Host Notify protocol, what those
Synaptics touchpads do, then the host adapter must not go to runtime
suspend since then it cannot process incoming SMBus Host Notify commands
the client may send.

Fix this by keeping I2C/SMBus adapter active in case client requires
Host Notify.

commit 93b6604c5a669d84e45fe5129294875bf82eb1ff upstream.

A previous change allowed I2C client devices to discover new IRQs upon
reprobe by clearing the IRQ in i2c_device_remove. However, if an IRQ was
assigned in i2c_new_device, that information is lost.

For example, the touchscreen and trackpad devices on a Dell Inspiron laptop
are I2C devices whose IRQs are defined by ACPI extended IRQ types. The
client device structures are initialized during an ACPI walk. After
removing the i2c_hid device, modprobe fails.

This change caches the initial IRQ value in i2c_new_device and then resets
the client device IRQ to the initial value in i2c_device_remove.
