[ Upstream commit 52531258318ed59a2dc5a43df2eaf0eb1d65438e ]

Userspace can guess the handle value and try to race GEM object creation
with handle close, resulting in a use-after-free if we dereference the
object after dropping the handle's reference. For that reason, dropping
the handle's reference must be done *after* we are done dereferencing
the object.

[ Upstream commit 5bd4f20de8acad37dbb3154feb34dbc36d506c02 ]

When kmem_cache_zalloc in virtio_gpu_get_vbuf fails, it will return
an error code. But none of its callers checks this error code, and
a core dump will take place.

Considering many of its callers can't handle such error, I add
a __GFP_NOFAIL flag when calling kmem_cache_zalloc to make sure
it won't fail, and delete those unused error handlings.

[ Upstream commit cec7f1774605a5ef47c134af62afe7c75c30b0ee ]

The virtio_gpu_init() will free vgdev and vgdev->vbufs on failure.
But such failure will be caught by virtio_gpu_probe() and then
virtio_gpu_release() will be called to do some cleanup which
will free vgdev and vgdev->vbufs again. So let's set dev->dev_private
to NULL to avoid double free.

commit ea86f3defd55f141a44146e66cbf8ffb683d60da upstream.

We observed that some of virtio_gpu_object_shmem_init() allocations
can be rather costly - order 6 - which can be difficult to fulfill
under memory pressure conditions. Switch to kvmalloc_array() in
virtio_gpu_object_shmem_init() and let the kernel vmalloc the entries
array.

commit fbb30168c7395b9cfeb9e6f7b0c0bca854a6552d upstream.

The previous code was not thread safe and caused
undefined behavior from spurious duplicate resource IDs.
In this patch, an atomic_t is used instead. We no longer
see any duplicate IDs in tests with this change.

This reverts commit e6733ec8948475c4b62574e452135dc629294d75 which is
commit 29cf12394c0565d7eb1685bf0c1b4749aa6a8b66 upstream.

Alistair writes:
After updating to 5.4.7 we noticed that virtio_gpu's wait ioctl
	stopped working correctly.

It looks like 29cf12394c05 ("drm/virtio: switch
virtio_gpu_wait_ioctl() to gem helper.") was picked up automatically,
but it depends on 889165ad6190 ("drm/virtio: pass gem reservation
object to ttm init") from earlier in Gerd's series in Linus's tree,
	which was not picked up.
