[ Upstream commit 123ee07ba5b7123e0ce0e0f9d64938026c16a2ce ]

Smatch reports:
drivers/gpu/drm/sun4i/sun4i_tcon.c:805 sun4i_tcon_init_clocks() warn:
'tcon-&gt;clk' from clk_prepare_enable() not released on lines: 792,801.

In the function sun4i_tcon_init_clocks(), tcon-&gt;clk and tcon-&gt;sclk0 are
not disabled in the error handling, which affects the release of
these variable. Although sun4i_tcon_bind(), which calls
sun4i_tcon_init_clocks(), use sun4i_tcon_free_clocks to disable the
variables mentioned, but the error handling branch of
sun4i_tcon_init_clocks() ignores the required disable process.

To fix this issue, use the devm_clk_get_enabled to automatically
balance enable and disabled calls. As original implementation use
sun4i_tcon_free_clocks() to disable clk explicitly, we delete the
related calls and error handling that are no longer needed.

[ Upstream commit 82a1356a933d8443139f8886f11b63c974a09a67 ]

Currently, the packet overhead is subtracted using unsigned arithmetic.
With a short sync pulse, this could underflow and wrap around to near
the maximal u16 value. Fix this by using signed subtraction. The call to
max() will correctly handle any negative numbers that are produced.

Apply the same fix to the other timings, even though those subtractions
are less likely to underflow.

[ Upstream commit 1342b5b23da9559a1578978eaff7f797d8a87d91 ]

If the component driver fails to bind, or is unbound, the driver data
for the top-level platform device points to a freed drm_device. If the
system is then suspended, the driver passes this dangling pointer to
drm_mode_config_helper_suspend(), which crashes.

Fix this by only setting the driver data while the platform driver holds
a reference to the drm_device.

[ Upstream commit dc3ae06c5f2170d879ff58696f629d8c3868aec3 ]

commit b4bdc4fbf8d0 ("soc: sunxi: Deal with the MBUS DMA offsets in a
central place") added a platform device notifier that sets the DMA
offset for all of the display engine frontend and backend devices.

The code applying the offset to DMA buffer physical addresses was then
removed from the backend driver in commit 756668ba682e ("drm/sun4i:
backend: Remove the MBUS quirks"), but the code subtracting PHYS_OFFSET
was left in the frontend driver.

As a result, the offset was applied twice in the frontend driver. This
likely went unnoticed because it only affects specific configurations
(scaling or certain pixel formats) where the frontend is used, on boards
with both one of these older SoCs and more than 1 GB of DRAM.

In addition, the references to PHYS_OFFSET prevent compiling the driver
on architectures where PHYS_OFFSET is not defined.

is not selected, Kbuild gives the following warning:

WARNING: unmet direct dependencies detected for PHY_SUN6I_MIPI_DPHY
  Depends on [n]: (ARCH_SUNXI [=n] || COMPILE_TEST [=y]) &amp;&amp; HAS_IOMEM [=y] &amp;&amp; COMMON_CLK [=y] &amp;&amp; RESET_CONTROLLER [=n]
  Selected by [y]:
  - DRM_SUN6I_DSI [=y] &amp;&amp; HAS_IOMEM [=y] &amp;&amp; DRM_SUN4I [=y]

This is because DRM_SUN6I_DSI selects PHY_SUN6I_MIPI_DPHY
without selecting or depending on RESET_CONTROLLER, despite
PHY_SUN6I_MIPI_DPHY depending on RESET_CONTROLLER.

These unmet dependency bugs were detected by Kismet,
a static analysis tool for Kconfig. Please advise if this
is not the appropriate solution.

commit c302c98da646409d657a473da202f10f417f3ff1 upstream.

Macros SUN8I_CSC_CTRL() and SUN8I_CSC_COEFF() don't follow usual
recommendation of having arguments enclosed in parenthesis. While that
didn't change anything for quite sometime, it actually become important
after CSC code rework with commit ea067aee45a8 ("drm/sun4i: de2/de3:
Remove redundant CSC matrices").

Without this fix, colours are completely off for supported YVU formats
on SoCs with DE2 (A64, H3, R40, etc.).

Fix the issue by enclosing macro arguments in parenthesis.

<title>drm/sun4i: dw-hdmi: Fix HDMI PHY clock setup</title>

Recent rework, which made HDMI PHY driver a platform device, inadvertely
reversed clock setup order. HW is very touchy about it. Proper way is to
handle controllers resets and clocks first and HDMI PHYs second.

Currently, without this fix, first mode set completely fails (nothing on
HDMI monitor) on H3 era PHYs. On H6, it still somehow work.

Move HDMI PHY reset &amp; clocks handling to sun8i_hdmi_phy_init() which
will assure that code is executed after controllers reset &amp; clocks are
handled. Additionally, add sun8i_hdmi_phy_deinit() which will deinit
them at controllers driver unload.

Tested on A64, H3, H6 and R40.
